A/N: I just wanted to say that there is a... rather large time skip, because, well... I felt like it. Sorry for doing it, but I'm very lazy sometimes lol.
Dear Diary,
I haven't been getting much sleep lately... and it's not because I gave into peer pressure and got laid by Mark. I lay awake at night in bed, worrying about all of my problems. Once I start thinking about them, I can't stop planning on how to fix them. Once I start planning, I don't stop until all of my life problems are solved. By the time my problems are solved, I have thirty minutes until my alarm goes off. I'm so tired, there are big purple circles under my (e/c) eyes. I don't see how Mark hasn't noticed, yet. If he has, I'm grateful he hasn't confronted me about it yet. This has been going on for the past two months.
As Mark pulls me closer, I place my head on his bare chest. What would I do without this man? I think as I listen to his strong heartbeat. The warmth of his arms wrapped around me spread throughout me as I slowly started to fall asleep...
BEEP, BEEP, BEEP!
Ugh, no. I'm not getting up. SNOOZE!!! I close my eyes and instantly fall back asleep.
"Babe, wake up," I heard Mark call to me.
I started to groan. I wanted more sleep, but I know that I had to get up.
"(Y/n), it's been three hours since your last alarm went off... What's going on? You slept all night, didn't you?" Mark asked.
I didn't know what to say. Should I tell him that I've been staying up all night; or should I lie to him? My entire life, I've been told that a good, healthy relationship is based on trust. I made up my mind that telling him the truth is the best option. I pat the space on the bed in front of me, motioning him to sit there.
Once he sat down, I really started to get nervous and fiddled with my loose choker necklace I always wear. Mark noticed this and gave me a reassuring smile.
"(Y/n), you can tell me anything. I want to know what's going on so I can help you. You've gotta trust me, (Y/n) if this can wo-" Mark said.
"Mark, I know. My family has been telling me that my entire life. I'm still thinking about how I'm going to say what I want to say," I interrupted. I thought for a few more seconds and decided to tell him bluntly, instead of beating around the bush.
"Mark, there's no way to say this to you in a kind way. I'm just going to be frank with you. I think I might have insomnia. For the past couple of months, I've been staying up all night, worrying about all of my problems and work. It's just so crazy up here in my mind. I know that I need sleep, it's just that I can't find a relaxing way to fall asleep," I explained.
Mark's smile faded and it was quiet for a moment. Suddenly, Mark's sullen face turned into a dirty smirk as he let out a small laugh.
"What is it?" I asked.
"Oh, it's nothing... nothing that you'd like," he responded.
There is only one rule when it comes to answering a question, and that is to never, ever answer "Oh, it's nothing." You never say that to a girl. I suddenly got curious.
"C'mon, Mark. You know that I always get curious when you're like that. Now tell me, please," I said.
Mark was still smirking as he said, "I know a way to make you so tired, you won't be able to even walk."
I had to think for a minute while Mark was smiling and giggling like an idiot. Then it hit me like a train.
"You want me to sleep with you so I can be tired enough to go to bed at a decent time?" I questioned.
