Is He There?

Chapter 1:Mala

People around laughing, talking, just tryin to block out the fact that school starts in just a few minutes. But she sat in the hallway with her head towards her phone, headphones in, trying to block out the world out and avoid people asking what's wrong. Her name is Mala.

She woke up that morning thinking she can make it through the day. She goes down the hallway of her house to the kitchen, where her brother is standing with his curly blond hair and green eyes. Mala starts to play her music outloud. Her brother, who goes by the name, Evan, tells her to turn it off. But of course being the little sister, she doesn't want to listen. She says, "No Evan you listen to this music also."

"Fine, I'll just play mine too," Evan announces, just to egg her on; she never learned to ignore his ignorant comments.

The 2 go back and forth for probably 30 minutes. Throughout the arguement, Mala tries to turn off Evan's music- not a bright move, considering he is probably four times stronger than her- Evan punches her in the side , she tried to return one but fails,  also he slaps her. Showing you stronger and has the upper hand. Finally she's done kitchen so she storms out and back to her room.

Most would say Mala's life life is normal, but those who know her and her life, no its not normal. Her family, is good, but can be chaotic. She has two brothers, one younger, Sean , and one older,  Evan. She is lucky to have both of her parents. From a distance, she can seem pretty normal for a 16 year girl, with long dirty blonde hair and blue eyes. She seems always to be smiling, very rare occasions is she not. She has a few close friends, but it's careful to know where they stand. In the past year she has lost one of her best friend of 10 years. Almost lost another but somehow they both held on.

Up close to see a young girl who's strong but falls sometimes, a fun, fun taneous, confused, easily irritated, And athletic girl. In small town Buffalo, Colorado, she seems to be well known, everyone knows everyone. She's been known as a goody-two-shoes by those in your school. He doesn't smoke, drink, party, doesn't go for every guy like many girls in school.  she play sports; track and softball are her main sports. She's also in 9th grade, so not quite top of the school.

On the other hand, Evan is 18 years old, he have curly blonde hair and sage green eyes, he has the looks of their father. Why mala looks like her mom. Evan, is a 12 sport athlete; he plays football, wrestling, and track every year. He is popular, also well known in town. He would be described as strong, cute, sometimes cocky, atletic, funny, likeable, and sometimes kind, from people at school.  but to Mala he would be described as strong, athletic, cocky, funny, and, majority of the time, a jerk.
