"Ruby!"
I yelled my dogs name as I walked in the house . Surely enough she came to me. The poor chocolate lab was older . She hobbled to me and whined, her tail wiggled between her legs .
"Your room is the way you left it , Care."
Care ? My mother only called me that when I was a kid. I ran up the stairs , first door on the right . When I opened the door it smelled like my old teenage self.
You know how it feels when you come home after being at a friends or on vacation for a while. How things that would've upset you before , make you smile like a retard ? Or when your bed feels like heaven when before it felt like cardboard ? Thats how it felt . In that moment everything felt right.
"Carolina! Go start your classes, remember , you have to work two days worth today. "
Luckily my mom had started my classes online while i was still committed . I only had to make up 4 credits thanks to my advanced placement and classes over the summer . So far I was almost ready to test out of all of them . Amazing how far three weeks can get you . Then again my mom had me working my ass off.
The computer beeped as I shut it off . I was done in two hours , thank god. I looked around for something to change in before i realized none of my clothes fit me. I hated shopping with my mom though. I groaned and called downstairs for my mom .
"Hey , mom! I need clothes can you bring me to the mall ?"
She threw me a set of keys and a card .
"Whats this?" , I asked.
"Your car keys and credit card ", she replied flatly .
I had completely forgotten about my license! I rushed downstairs , kissed my mom on the cheek and got in the car. Never missed a beat either . It only shocked me that she was doing this in the first place . I figured she was only doing what the doctor directed . After all he had told her , maybe she realized she couldn't hold me back for too long.
I parked in the parking garage and made my way through the front entrance . The number of clothing stores were unrealistic. I had never even know about any of these places. Then again I was gone for a while. I had a feeling I would be in here for a while .
