I never thought that I would be going to middle school. After all, I spent 6 years at a elementary school, that's most of my life. After we got the results back in the summer, I learned that my friends were all in Pod A (pods determine your classes, like your math, social studies, LA, and science), and I was stuck in Pod B.

{Cate's Point Of View (POV)}

I woke up at 6:15 am on the first day of school, and I remember the butterflies flying around my stomach. I hurried up and got dressed, put in silver hoop earrings and ran to the bathroom. As I looked into the mirror I wondered..

Will they like me?

Will I make new friends?

Is this year going to be like the movies?

I put on my contacts and brushed my teeth. I've always hated my hair, but at the same time I was grateful for it. So I brushed out my hair and had my mom curl it. I had just put on mascara so I didn't want to start crying when I walked into my mom's room. Never have I ever left my mom for more than a week, my parents mean the world to me. After curling my hair I rush back into my room and grab what I grab every morning..

Phone

Glasses

Charger

I also spray myself with perfume, and since I wasn't wearing pants (I was wearing a dress) I lotion up my legs. Once I walk down the stairs I look into the mirror once more..

Hair parted to the right..

Each ear has ONE hoop..

Eye lashes aren't too darkened up..

For the first time ever I think I actually think I looked pretty good. I throw my stuff into my bag and give both of my parents xoxo {hugs and kisses} and then start walking to the bus.

Once I stepped onto the bus my nerves were gone, I knew that middle school wasn't going to be the worst. When I sat into my seat and put in my earbuds I knew this year was going to be the greatest.
