Lana groaned at the sound of her alarm clock ticking off. A lazy arm stretched to shut up the freakin' thing. She soon hit the floor. As Lana finished last of her makeup, she gave herself a last satisfied look. Her elegant black dress and white jacket matched well.
It was the first day of her senior year at high school. She had joined Phoenix high last year and had already become the school's prettiest and most popular girl and also termed as 'the bad girl', but that was far from the truth, her being really good at heart. Of course there are times when she's a feisty, fierce and sassy, but sometimes that's what people needed to be put in their places and Lana put the tough girl act in order to avoid getting too close to anyone, particularly boys. She hasn't yet recovered from her heart break and the events that followed in her previous school due to which her mom got her to shift schools. Ever since then her nights were spent fighting the demons of her nightmares and soaking her pillow with tears. If only she had not fallen for Oliver, she'd probably be living like a normal teen.
Coming downstairs, she was greeted by her mum.
"Good morning sweetie! All set for your senior year?" Morning mom! All good. Smiling, Emily served her daughter her favourite nutella sandwiches. "Wow! Thanks mom, love. I'll get going now." Love you too Lana.
