As we arrive to Cameron's house, I feel my heart rate start picking up.
It's not that I wasn't exited nor wanted to be there, truth is, I've been an extrovert my whole life. The party scene suits me.
I love being social and meeting new people and just having fun. It's just that every time I'd have an event like this, my heart jolts with a pump of happiness and adrenaline.
Having fun, dancing, drinking, flirting, all these activities put a smile on my face.
I've always loved crowds, ever since I was little.
I've always participated in the school plays, the dance team, cheerleading squad, you name it, I've done it.
Everything that had to do with the art of preforming and teamwork.
Thus, sports is also one of my strong grounds.
To my disadvantage, my family wasn't very athletic, so they never put interest into coming to any of my soccer games, pep rallys, volleyball matches, anything.
My family has the more musical aspect and sometimes I feel like a disappointment because I've never really shown interest in music.
My mother is a ukelele player, my dad played the guitar and my sister Leilani plays the piano.
They've tried to get me into it.
When I was four, my mom bought me a ukelele of my own, but I never showed interest.
When I was twelve, my dad had found a keyboard in a garage sale and gifted it to me.
I still don't know how to play anything besides the happy birthday.
They'd thought that maybe since I had no musical talent, perhaps I'd make a talented singer.
I still don't sing to this day. I never sing, have never sung and don't plan on singing
I don't sing in the shower, or jam out to hits in the car like most people.
I've never tried to sing.
I'm too scared of failure.
Because, if I fail at singing too, I've let my family down.So I keep their hopes up by telling them that 'maybe' I'll join the school choir, or 'maybe' I'll save up for a karaoke machine. I don't plan on doing it anytime soon.
There's one sport I'm very passionate about. That just shoots euphoria through my veins and happiness in my heart.
Swimming.
I love to swim. Swaying my arms in the water and swiftly moving across the surface.
I love water and everything associated with it.
The way my fingers prune up, the way one feels free as it feels like one is flying.
Not just pools.
Rivers, lagoons, lakes, but especially the ocean.
The wildlife is amazing.
