Anything Could Happen (Brittana)

Chapter 1

I can feel people staring as I walk the halls of McKinley High,books clutched to my chest with a death grip while keeping my eyes downcast. Not that it helps cover the bruise on my left cheek considering the mark is still noticeable even with the piles of make up I've got caked on. I make my way into the principle's office where Mr. Shue, the Spanish teacher ,and Principal Figgins are obviously expecting me. Hesitantly, I close the door behind me.

"Ah Miss Lopez. Take a seat." Mr. Figgins says with his heavy Indian accent,motioning with his hands to the seat in front of him. "I assume you know why you've been called down here?"

I nodded and looked at Mr. Shue. "I fell."

"That's was you said last time,Santana. We can't help you unless we have the truth."

I laughed sarcastically and crossed my arms. "Help me? right. So why haven't you helped Blaine or Rachel? I mean they've been coming to you guys for ages now asking for help."

"So it was him?" Mr. Shue asked me,leaning on his knees,"It was your dad?"

"He is NOT my dad. He's a piece of shit who only took Rachel,Blaine,and I in so he could get money from the state." Which was true. When I was seven,I got adopted into a family with the mist caring father and mother there was,which is where I met Blaine and Rachel. After the mother passed away not even a month into getting us three,the dad,Tod, was nothing but bitter and has been ever since.

I was breathing hard now,feeling my face heat up with pure anger. They don't anything about what I go through yet here they have the nerve to say they want to help me? "I'll do anything to protect Rachel and Blaine. That's all I'm saying." I walked out of the office and made my way to the gym instead of going to my fifth period class. Hopefully no one would be there and I could take my anger out on a punching bag in the weight room.
