"Do you still have the vial?" I asked Harry softly. Wordlessly, Harry removed the glass flask out of his front pocket and flashed it for me to see.

"He wanted us to see something important, Harry. We mustn't waste time," I held onto one of his arms in support. "I'm ready," Harry spoke calmly.

Harry left my grasp and walked over to a mirrored wall and pulled out a well-like object. This had to be the Pensieve. The magical item seemed slightly worn down, but mysterious nonetheless. I watched Harry as he poured the contents of the vial into the basin of the Pensieve. I was beckoned over by Harry's hand, so I stood opposite of him with the well-like item between us.

A mixture of inky black and wispy white began to stir inside, and it seemed to be calling for me to join its secrets. I met Harry's calm eyes, and held one of his hands cautiously, before we both lowered our heads into the solution.

It felt as if I was tumbling down into a lost, lonely dream that belonged to a sorrowful being. I instantly felt my mood shift to a depressing one, and the atmosphere around me was suffocating. I couldn't see Harry, but I felt him here with me.

Two young girls came into view. One with cinnamon hair, the other with pale blonde. They must had been playing, but the blonde girl was taking a few steps back from the other with a look of disgust. As I looked closer, the redhead was allowing a small daisy bloom within her palm. "Freak! You're a freak, Lily!" The blonde screeched.

The scene shifted to the Lily girl laying in a patch of lemon grass, and an awkward lad was there with her. It was Snape. He let a piece of the lemon grass fly towards her in a friendly manner. The two laid next to each other, "She's jealous. She's just ordinary, but you're special," The young Snape said. "That's mean, Severus," She chastised gently with her green orbs glowing. This is Harry's mother.

I sensed their friendship blossoming as they spent great amount of time together. Now, I watched from the Great Hall to see Lily being sorted into Gryffindor and meeting James Potter. It was apparent that Snape disapproved. A young Sirius Black, James Potter, Remus Lupin, and Peter Pettigrew were rushing through the Hogwarts corridors. James ran into Snape, which caused his books to fall onto the ground.

Time seemed to fly past me, and the scene settled near the Black Lake. James Potter was leading a rally of students against Snape and making crude comments about him. I cringed as James sent an upside down Snape into the air, while taunting him. He fell to the floor, but a familiar girl came to his aid. I gasped as my mother helped Snape onto his feet, "Thank you, Celine."

"The prophecy did not refer to a woman. It spoke of a boy born at the end of July!" Dumbledore's wise voice introduced another scene. "Yes, but it's her son! He intends to hunt them down! Hide them!" Snape's voice was pleading. It was evening and they were on an isolated hill that had a grand view of the Hogwarts Castle. "What will you give me in return, Severus?" Dumbledore asked. "Anything," Snape was desperate.

I was then in a battered hallway. The walls were barely intact and a few doors were off their hinges. I watched Snape creep along the shadows and stumble across an adult version of James Potter. His eyes were wide with fear, but no life was within them. I felt my blood chill as I realized this is the moment when Harry's entire life was altered by my father. Snape had finally reached the room at the end of the hall, where a crying baby stood in his crib. Lily Potter's cold body was sprawled before her child's crib.

Baby Harry had a fresh cut on his forehead. The famous lightning bolt was singed on his soft skin, which would leave the scar. Snape had fell to the floor and was cradling Lily gently while tears trickled down his cheeks. Severus Snape has been in love with Lily Potter. The secretive man I knew was unfolding before my eyes.
