"You have her living here now?! And you complain about me being jealous" Kylie yelled at me while sitting on my bed
"Kylie calm the fuck down!" I said making her more angry
"You know what? I'm done with you and with this" She screamed
"Oh really?" I said not giving two fucks
"Yeah and for the record i have about 4 guys on the side" She said walking out my room. And she was the one who thought i would cheat.
"Are you okay?" I heard Emma say, i looked up to see her stood at my doorway meaning she probably heard all of that
"That bigger question is are you okay?" I said she weakly smiled and nodded, i looked at her left arm which was on show through her pj's. There wa now a large bruise from where her dad had grabbed her. I sighed at the thought she got hurt and i didn't stop him sooner
"Has that happened before?" I asked motioning to her arm she figitted which meant yes, i punched the mattress next to me and she rushed over
"Don't do that" She said holding my fist, i loosened it not wanting to hurt her, i looked up at her big blue eyes and melted like completely. When i'm near her i am under some spell that makes me obligated to protect her and make sure she is okay and nothing is going to stop me
"We have school tomorrow" She said looking at my alarm clock still holding my hand i nodded
"We'll leave at the usual time?" I asked knowing i didnt have to drive the long way now
"Sure" She said smiling, i walked her back to her room then went downstairs to get a drink when i caught my parents conversation with Polly
"She's always blamed herself and it gets her into a state, she tends to wake up screaming and crying because she got flashbacks from the accident" Polly said, what accident? Who screams?
"It'll be alright Polly, you and Emma are safe here" My dad said
"If Emma wakes up screaming i am terribly sorry if she wakes you" Polly said. What happened to Emma?

"Morning Sunshine" I said to Emma as i walked into the kitchen where she munching on toast
"I heard you mum is getting your things today?" I asked and she nodded, she had to wear the same clothes again so i offered her one of my shirts so she didn't have to wear that since it was covered in makeup from when she cried
"Thanks for the shirt" she said , i looked over at her to see she had tied it so that it was slightly cropped, it look nice on her
"Keep it, it suits you better" I said making her blush, after we finished breakfast we headed to school where we were greeted with Joe Lewis and Mollie. It's become our habit to meet by the tree by the carpark
I looked at Emma who looked embarrassed when we got to the boys, i'm guessing she is remembering they were there yesterday when her dad flipped
The girls went off to lesson and me and the boys were heading to study hall
"Guys can i talk to you about something" I said, they nodded in agreement, here goes nothing
"Can we not talk about what happened with Emma and her Dad she is already scared enough and i don't think we should bring it up" I said
"We wouldn't even think about doing that, it isn't our business we are just glad she is okay" Lewis said i nodded
"So we heard you broke up Kylie" Lewis said breaking the silence
"More like she broke up with me because she found out that Emma was staying with me" I said they all chuckled
"Something funny" I asked they shook their head trying to stop their laughter
I shook my head and started to study until something caught my eye, Mollie was walking but she wasn't with Emma, i looked at her confused and as soon as she saw me and the guys she hurried over
"Emma needs you lot" She said our eyes went wide and we followed her to the corridor where Kylie was pouncing on Emma
"What the fuck Kylie?" I yelled pulling Emma away who was now securely behind Joe and Lewis
"We break up for you to be already with someone new!" she yelled at me
"We aren't together and what happened to these guys on the side you had" I said making her rethink her game plan, she groaned and walked away, my gaze went back to Emma who looked like she was ready to collaps
"Emma are you okay?" Mollie asked trying to hold up Emma as she started to go limp, she didn't say anything but she fell forward
I caught her without a second thought, i picked her up and started to head to the door after telling everyone that i was taking her home
We got inside and were met with our mums instantly
"What happened?" Emma's mum panicked as i got her over to the sofa
"My Ex started a fight with her and after i sorted it she collapsed" I said so worried something bad was happening
"I'm so sorry if this is my fault" I said Polly came over and hugged me
"I think it is about time i explained something to you Brandon, could you watch Emma for me"She asked my mum who nodded
I followed Polly into the kitchen where i sat with her at the table
"I know you are worried about Emma so here goes nothing, last night after the incident with her father Emma didn't fall asleep she collapsed as well, she was in a accident when she was younger that left her permanently broken, any time she gets herself worked out or in a scene she collapses and she can't control or decide when it happens which is why i never spoke up to her dad to begin with, i wanted to keep her safe and to stop her from fainting" Polly said to me i looked at with pure sympathy in my eyes, if only i knew this before i could have done more to help Emma.. I would have helped her a lot more or at least tried to
