"I just hope eagles don't live in Australia," Skye said to Chase as the two boarded their plane. Chase nodded, barely able to concentrate on the conversation. "I hope we get to see the outback- right when the sun sets- I've heard it's amazing!

That's it!

--------

After a few announcements, the plane took off. Chase plugged his earbuds into his ipod nano and listed to music. Skye was anxiously staring out the window, pointing out and occasional bird or mountaintop. Chase nodded, but couldn't really listen as Skye always found a way to distract him. A few months back, Marshall noticed...

Flashback

"To you, Tracker," Rocky called. The chihuahua pup jumped and caught the ball. "To Marshall!" The dally caught the ball with ease. "Back to Chase!"

But Chase wasn't listening. He was staring at Skye as she played tag with Zuma, Everest, and Rubble. The ball ended up hitting Chase's head. The shepherd shook his head and looked around. "Where's the ball?"

Suddenly, the cockapoo pup that Chase admired so much came over, a certain tennis ball in her mouth. "Here Chase!"

"Th-thanks Skye..."

"No problem. See ya later!"

The boys (Chase, Marshall, Rocky, Tracker) were dumbfounded.

"Can I talk to Chase, alone?" The dally finally broke the silence. Chase nodded and walked away with Marshall.

Marshall closed the door to his pup house. "You like Skye. I have zero doubts, zero questions, and zero drawbacks. Ask her out!"

Chase looked down. "I'll do it when it feels right. Satisfied?"

"Satisfied."

End of flashback

Now, Chase was thinking about this moment- and others- like the time Everest caught him scrolling through Skye's instagram and sighing dreamily. He looked over at Skye, who had fallen asleep.

Don't worry, Marshall. I'll stick to my word.
