Prologue:

I stood their at my windowsill.

watching.

as the kids enjoyed something I couldn't.

freedom.

Not the freedom of rights or the freedom of a cage but the freedom of your own thoughts.You don't know how good you have it until it's token away from you.

Your most beautiful humble thoughts replaced with dark ones.

I've been sitting here for almost a day without food,water,or sleep.That day just keeps rewinding in my head like a broken record only I think of ways I could have stopped it.

My dad doesn't talk to me about that day,than again,he really doesn't talk to me period.I'm still debating if that's a good or bad thing because I do like my peace and quiet.

"Clarissa,your psychologist is here!" I think I heard my daddy say.

I just kept my gaze on the kids playing hopscotch.They look so peaceful and happy. I think I even spot Emily,she's considered the class loser..maybe she isn't anymore?

The door shut behind me indicating that my dad left,but I still feel a presence in the room.I turn my head to make sure and see a little old man sitting in a chair legs crossed so he could hold the notepad he is scribbling on.Their is a small pair of glasses on the tip of his nose and his white hair stuck to the top of his head.He looks up noticing my stare giving me a welcoming smile that I don't return as I look back out the window.

"Hi,I'm Doctor Gregor but you may call me Phillip.I'm going to be you psychologist."

Hi my lovelies,I am so excited for this book and I hope you are too! This was just a glimpse of it and if you couldn't tell she is only like eight in this prologue.
