I couldn’t decide if it was spring rain or winter but it was cold and raining. He being an outdoor person had to stay inside to save himself from the cold.
I used my kitchen door to get out of home for my morning walk. I refreshed myself, breathing in and out fresh air and absorbing sweet scent of wet mud deep in my lungs. An hour passed and I turned back towards home.
The minute I turned, there he was standing, enjoying the wet road. I got nearer and he saw me, forgot the water and ran towards me with open arms. Saying “huggie.”
There he was, my love, my precious, my son.
