I’m a warrior, I’m a fighter,

And I’m stronger then them,

I’m a princess, I’m their savior,

And I’ll live through thee end,

My name is Kalpana Jadhav, and I live in the year 300 B.C

You probably heard of me kalpana yud'dha kī dēvī or like the English says it goddess of

War. Well if you haven’t, your about to find out. You see, I live in India in a small

Country call Kohna before it was known as Kanpur. My family was respected by the people in the village and outsiders. My dad Vitthal is the king of Kohna. His

Enemies think he’s weak because he has a gentle heart. But no one knows how wrong

They are. My dad was one of the best warriors alive. His passion for fighting is amazing.

I guess that’s where I got it from.  Ai was a princess from another land, she

Met baba, when she was trying to escape the palace. From there they fell in love and got

Married. When I was born I always wanted to be like baba, but I couldn’t because girls

Were not allowed too. I was taught to be a princess and learn to sing and dance. The thing

Is I’m mute, I can’t talk but I always practice singing anyway praying to the gods that one

Day I can be able to talk. When I’m in my room, I always practice sword fighting.

Baba and Ai doesn’t know that I hid a sword under the bed. And sometimes when

Everyone’s asleep; I go to my favorite place and practice sword fighting. No one knows

My secret, about me wanting to be a warrior, instead of a princess. If Ai knew about

It she would try to get me married as soon as possible. That is one of the reasons why,

They can’t know. The other reason is baba. He loves me so much that he would never let

Me fight in the battle field. But that all changed on that fateful day.
