Chapter 22

Nate's POV

"Baby, it's fine don't worry." I rubbed her back in reassurance.

I quickly got up from my spot and made my way to Ryan, how do these guys always find a way into J's house. I stepped over the puddle of blood and grabbed his arm to check his pulse. After taking a few minutes to find it.

"He is still alive, his pulse I..I..it's still there." I shout loud enough to scare the lot.

"Sammy quick get me a towel i need to put it on his head to stop further bleeding, and Gilinsky phone the ambulance NOW." I instruct. I was relieved he was alive, however pissed then ever cuz he kinda got what he fucking deserved.

"Really." Jade questioned wiping away her tears, Zoe ran from the door and began to comfort her. She looked even more terrified.

"He.. he tried to shoot me Nate I'm sorry I didn't mean to." She cried even harder hugging on to Zoe.

I could tell that my baby girl was terrified.

"He had a gun, what the fuck." Johnson said with his eyes wide open.

I left Ryan with Sammy to hold down the pressure on the head injury.

"It's ok baby, I'm here now, I'm so sorry I should have stayed back." I caressed her cheeks .

"The police, Nate the police are going to want to know, I'm going to jail aren't I." She stammered.

Poor baby.

"No. Don't you worry about them." I shook my head, I shouldn't let her think of that at the moment she was horrified as it is.

Not long after the ambulance joined and carried Ryan to this hospital.

A member of the ambulance walked to me and told me "The police will be at the scene shortly please explain everything to them."

I thanked her for her help and went back to comfort my girl.

It was silence in the room, everyone just sitting on the bed apart from Zoe who was comforting Jade on the floor.

Her face was as red as a tomato and stained with tears.

I joined them both on the floor, and Jade turned to look at me.
"Nate, why does this always happen to me, it's like I'm never allowed to be happy." She said in a very low tone.

I didn't say a word.

"Probably because of the kind of person I was before, I'm getting punished aren't I, i would hurt people, and upset them and now look I'm getting what I deserve. Punishment for being such a slut." She shakes her head looking at the floor laughing.
All of this was really affecting her.

"No, how many times Jade. Stop saying that." I turned her face to meet mine and caressed her cheeks again.

"NEVER say that again." I kissed her forehead.

The door bell rang and Gilinsky went to answer it, a few moments later he brought up with him 3 officers.

A female, and old bald man, and a young man with dark black hair.

"Can we talk to the person involved in this incident." The old one spoke.

Before Jade could say a word I shot up and called out. "Me officer."
