"Never thought you would take everything we had and up and leave" Sweet Dreams, Børns

She knocks on the door of the apartment hoping she could explain what he had caught her doing.

"Hey look, can we talk?" She says to the door.

She knocks again and she asks, "please?"

She stares at the door for a few more seconds.

"Okay fine. I guess I'll just explain what happened to the door. Hopefully your on the other side listening or else I guess I'm just wasting my breath. But nothing happened with me and Josh. I promise."

The door suddenly bursts open.

"So he just came over to take his shirt off? Do you think I'm stupid? I know what he was doing there and you can't deny it."

"I was mad and hurt and I invited him over but all we did was kiss. Nothing else happened. I thought that this was going to help me move on but then I realized that it was wrong. I knew there was other ways to help me move on so I stopped. We just ended up hanging out and watching a movie. He understood what I was going through and did not make me do anything."

"Really?"

"Yes. You know I would never do anything like this. This isn't like me. Never do anything to hurt you."

The door to his room opens again, and a red-haired girl comes out with only a robe on.

"Who was at the door?" she says as she looks at me.

I look at Shawn, hurt.
I turn around and begin to walk away.

"(Y/N), wait." I ignore him and keep walking.

"I don't even know why I bothered to come in the first place. I knew this was all wrong." I half-whisper to myself.

"(Y/N) please, we can go back and pretend like this did not happen."

"You expect me to let this go?" I say half-choking my words.

"Can we talk about this?"

"What is there to talk about Shawn? I know what I saw. I came to talk to you, but I regret even coming here."

"You don't mean that."

"I do."

"Look there is so much we have to talk about. This all started when you got mad when I didn't give you the right answer to the question you asked. You wanted something more out of this. I tour the world, and I want you to be part of it.

I gave you the truth. I don't know what I want in the future. I don't want to get my hopes it and hope that you are in it. I would love for you to be in it, but what if you are not? Then I lied and told you that you were going to be in it and you aren't. And I only did this because you walked out and I was hurting. I felt like my heart had been physically ripped out of my chest. And when I walked in on you and Josh. My heart ripped into a million more pieces. Any person who walks in on something like that would think that you two hooked up. Yes, hooking up with her was a stupid idea. But, Jade, I didn't do this to hurt you. I thought that by doing this I was going to be able to stop hurting. And it didn't fucking work."

"I just need-- I need to go." she says as she walks away.
