I slowly bent down and held the book. I noticed it was a... album.
I was about to put it back, when suddenly a photo fell out.
I bent down and flipped it over.
[My best friend, I'm going to miss you]
My mind was now filled with a million questions.
My heart was beating at a fast pace.
My hand that held the photo started to shake.
"This can't be..."
"No...."
"Why does she have this picture?"
"Why does the little boy holding the girl's hand looks so familiar?"
"What is the younger me doing here?"
I felt a headache.
Memories that were once lost, have been finally recovered.
In that moment my left hand, that held the album the entire time, fell with a sudden thump. While my other hand tightly held the picture that once brought me joy and happiness.
