Sunday, April 2nd
I really like him.
"I think I'm going to ask him out!" You announced to your friends, Tina and Tasha. They reacted with surprise. You had already decided, but you'd like to know what they thought.
"What? Are you serious?" Tina asked, "When?"
"Right now." You held up your phone. "I can't physically ask him...so this is the only way! I have to attack first!" Tasha seemed fairly excited.
"What do you think he'll say?" Tasha asked as she sat across from you.
"I don't know, but I hope he says yes." You explained. "It's been a year since I confessed to him, but there hasn't been much progress." Tina nodded, but still didn't add to the conversation. You looked down at your phone and began typing. When you finished typing what you thought was a casual message you began to doubt yourself.
I don't know if I can do this.
"Did you send it yet?" Tina asked from across the room. She was on her laptop. You held your phone out to her and shook your head.
"Send it for me!" You whined. Tina took the phone, read through the message, and pressed send. "Now, I just have to wait." You took the phone back.
For the next hour the three of you talked about what happened at the concert earlier that night. You all agreed that Tasha should block Aiden. Then you all played a multiplayer game. After a couple rounds you couldn't help but check your phone. There was a message.
Is it him?!
You opened the message. It read: [im kind of surprised. i didnt know you still felt that way. but yeah. i wouldn't mind.] Your heart swelled as you read the text.
He said yes.
You smiled. "He said yes!" The three of you laughed and began celebrating. "
I can't believe this!
In you excitement you forgot to reply. You picked up your phone again. [thanks for saying yes. im not sure what to do now tho.]
[me neither, but i guess we'll figure this out. I'll talk to you tomorrow.]
[yeah. ok.] You smiled again and set down your phone. Tina was staring at you like you had something on your face. "What?"
"Don't start ignoring us now that you have a boyfriend." She playfully pushed you. You pushed back.
"I would never!" The three of you continued the sleepover. Something felt off, then you remembered. You had yet to tell his brother. The two of you were friends so it's important to let him know.
Jocelyn [hey raegan.]
Raegan [hey]
Jocelyn [im dating sevyn now :D]
Raegan [oh thats cool]
"I can't imagine Raegan being too happy to hear that." Tasha commented. "You know he likes you..."
"He never said that." You argued despite knowing full well how he felt. Everyone knew. Even his ex-girlfriend. Everyone thought you were dating because a guy and girl can't only be friends, right? In your case, yes. He's always liked you. There was a time when you liked him, but he was dating Cornelia. So you pushed away your feelings and got over him.
Raegan's older brother, Sevyn, caught your attention not long after you first met. He was only slightly different from Raegan. After a year of crushing on him, you confessed your feelings. You became closer as a result.
"I know, right." Tina joined the conversation. "Even when he was with Cornelia." She laughed. "That's why she was obsessed with you!" You frowned, could deny nothing.
"I knowww." You slumped over. "I could tell he was *this* close to asking me out!" You motioned.
"Well, at least you told him." Tina sighed. Tasha nodded.
"I think it's time for us to go to sleep." Tasha yawned. "Let's talk more about this tomorrow."
"Yeah, goodnight."
