Wait.... Did I just here me too come out of my mothers mouth?? All the puzzle pieces that I have been noticing for years started to click. Why she never swam, why she never showered at hotels unless she could take a bath. It all came to resemble this big picture I have never noticed for years.
"WHAT!? HOW?" I yelled.
Caroline looked at me and said "shhhh Dani keep it down"
"Right right" I whispered.
I looked at my friends and there mouths just were dropped open in awe. I was still in shook to be honest.
My mom said "secret lagoon? Full moon right" I nodded.
She went on " I went there too when I was little... There is a powerful curse on that lagoon.
I questioned " what curse?"
My mom explained "The old mermaid queen cursed it, because that's where her husband was killed by a young child's curiosity, not on purpose of course. And on that night it was a full moon."
"Ohhhhhhh now I get it." I said.
"Ok good. Now stay safe ok?" My mom spoke.
Caroline and I nodded.
"Ok bye!" She yelled.
That went a lot better then I expected!

Ok ok. That hopefully clears up a lot about why they became mermaids.
I know it's been a mouth. Now that I'm out of school, I'll be able to write more! Now I'm saying this already, but next week there will be no update cause I won't have wifi!
