I sat awake in bed after the hell i just went through. My heart was heavy, my eyes swollen. I didn't know how to feel or what to do. My body ached and trembled as he ran his dirty grimy hands through my now wet curly hair.
"Dri get up and make my food, now " he ordered me. I got up reluctantly and made my way to the kitchen. My legs shaky and my back sore feeling as though it had been broken. I was in an abusive relationship and I couldn't leave. I didn't even like men but, to keep my family happy I did what I had to do.
"Hurry the hell up Adrianna" he yelled. I jumped in the large ripped white tee that i had on. My hair now in a bun and the click of the stove seemed to not exist.
I was stuck in a trance. The one  that I hated being in. The sound of the city smothered my internal cries. It smothered my calls for help and it smothered who I wanted to, no, needed to be.  My heart longed for a woman's touch. Sensitive. Sensual. Everything. But instead i got this boy who's trapped in a mans body.
BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP!!
The smoke detector went off and I jumped out of my Day dream. I caught a back hand with a large ring. Johnathan had hit me and I felt blood sting my left cheek.
"Bitch what'd i tell you about burning my fucking food" he scorned as he hit me. A word per hit. I went numb, i didn't care, i blacked out. My body only knew pain and pain was all that I knew mentally. I couldn't leave but i know damn well i couldn't stay. I've tried to leave before but, all my attempts failed.

Hours later I woke up naked in a small pool of my own blood. My body sore from the beating and the involuntary sex that had encountered the hours before. My mind was blank, my heart was heavy. I silently cried, my soul was yearning for me to leave this man but deep down, i knew i couldn't. If I did, my family wouldn't continue to love me. They'd disown me. I couldn't live with that amount of hatred and pain. But, I knew i couldn't stay here.
