Stranger things sickfics

Mike- i cant stop looking for Will

(Disclaimer: has some modern day things in it)

Mike Wheeler was up at 5:30 sharp. He has only slept about three hours because he couldn't get his mind off Will and all he wanted to do was go and look for him.
This morning though was brought with a new challenge; a stomach ache.
"I'm leaving Mom!"
Nancy hadn't been home that night which Mike was glad about because she would have been able to see right through him.

"Hey Mike!" Dustin and Lucas yelled as they rode their bikes over to him.
"Hey" Mike whispered
"You good?" Lucas noticed how pale Mike looked but none of them were really sleeping so he didn't think to much on it.
"Ya I'm good, not a lot of sleep— oh shoot!" Mike realized that he had left Eleven back at the house without telling her where he was going.
"What's up?" Dustin was still slightly concerned about Mike and wanted to know what had happened.
"I left Eleven back at the house, lets just go over to mine and figure some stuff out." Mike kind of wanted to be in his own house anyways, his stomach wasn't doing so well and he didn't want to stop working on finding Will.
"Ok that's fine, I'm hungry though let's get food first" Mike's stomach flipped at the thought of food
"I have food at mine, Eleven is going to freak if we're not there."
Dustin sighed dramatically
"Fiiiinnnneeee, I'll beat you there" Dustin took off on his bike but Lucas stayed back with Mike who was riding quite slowly.
"What's up with you today?" Lucas asked once Dustin was far up the street.
"What do you mean" Mike wanted to get home as fast as he could but he also didn't want to jar his stomach to much.
"You just seem out of it, did you sleep at all last night?" Mike sighed and shook his head, it wasn't really a lie but there was definitely more then tiredness going on here.
"Maybe you should go back to be—"
"No!, I mean no I'm fine let's just go try and find Will" Lucas knew he wouldn't be able to stop Mike, he was to stubborn.

The two boys rode home in complete silence and when they got there Dustin did not look impressed.
"What did you guys do? Take a nap on your way? I've been here for agggeeessss" Lucas chuckled
"Let's go in"

"Mike are you okay?" The boys were sitting around a map with Eleven in the center and Mike gasped suddenly and was wincing.
"Um ya I'm good, lets keep trying to figure this out, maybe if we turn the map...." Dustin and Lucas were both looking at Mike, they could tell that something was wrong but they couldn't get him to admit it.
"Mike I think you should sit for a minute, you don't look well" Lucas noticed that Mike had started swaying and he put his arm around him before he could fall.
"No, no, I'm fine" Mike was suddenly feeling extremely hot and dizzy and his mouth was starting to water.

"I-I'm gonna g-go to the b-bathroom real quick" Mike was trying to keep his voice steady but he was choking over his words as he tried to keep his stomach where it belonged.
Once in the bathroom, Mike crashed to the floor and started vomiting, the force of it was enough to bring tears to his eyes and the sleepless nights and everything with Will was not making the situation any better.

Meanwhile, Lucas got worried about Mike and walked down the hallway. When he got to the bathroom, he heard the distinct sound of retching and quickly pulled out his phone to text Dustin.
'Come to the bathroom, bring your phone'

Dustin showed up a minute later with a confused look on his face
"Text Nance, Mike's sick, he's not going to let us in but he might let Nancy" Dustin still looked fairly confused.
"What do you mean 'Mike's sick'?"
Lucas sighed
"He's throwing up in there, I don't know what's wrong with him but he's to worried about Will to let us help him." Dustin nodded his head and went to text Nancy.
Nancy was with Jonathan when she got the text and she immediately asked him to take her home.
"Is everything okay? Did I do something?" Nancy didn't really know what was going on at home but Dustin had said Mike needed her as fast as possible so she wanted to know what was going on.
"I don't know, Dustin said Mike needs me" Jonathan nodded and started the car

When they got to the house, Nancy went straight upstairs to find out what was going on.
When she reached the boys, she heard the retching and didn't even need to ask them what was going on any more.
"I got this boys, why don't you go downstairs and eat something" Dustin smiled
"Sounds good to me!" And with that he grabbed Lucas's arm and ran down the stairs.

"Mike?" Mike looked up from the toilet where he was painfully dry heaving.
"N-n-Nancy?" Mike started gagging again and Nancy gave him a minute.
"Ya buddy, it's me can I come in?" Hearing his sisters voice made Mike break, he wanted to find Will, no, he NEEDED to find Will, but he felt so ill right now and he just wanted his sitter to hold him.

Nancy heard a loud sob and opened the door before Mike could respond
"Oh Mike!" Nancy grabbed a wet cloth and put it on the boys neck, she laid her hand on his forehead and felt the unnatural heat that was coming off the boy
"I-I d-d-don't f-feel g-good" Nancy could see that her brother was in a right state but she wanted to try and get him to bed.
"I know bud, do you think we can get you in bed? I'll bring a bucket."
"No! What about Will? I have to find Will!" Nancy should have known that this was why he was hiding his illness, the boy hadn't slept since Will had disappeared.
"Come on Mike, you need to be in bed right now" Mike pulled away from Nancy but the movement made him lunge back towards the toilet to release another round.

By this point the other boys and Eleven had gone back to the room and were listening to the siblings in the bathroom.
"ill?" Eleven waited for a response from the other boys.
"Ya El, Mike's I'll." Lucas decided enough was enough and he went down the hallway to the bathroom.
Mike! How are you going to help Will if you can't leave the toilet? It's selfish of you to not take care of yourself. We need you right now and if you can't get healthy we won't be able to find Will! Please get in bed and take some medicine, please?" Mike knew that Lucas was right so he gave in and nodded.
10 minutes later he was in bed with his bucket clutched to his chest.
"Come on Mike, put the bucket down, you'll feel better if you sleep" Mike slowly set the bucket next to his bed.
"Will you sit with me?" Mike was embarrassed but he wanted his sister with him.
"Ya course I will buddy" Nancy riffles the boys hair and got in bed next to him.
"Don't worry Mike, We're going to find Will, lets just get you healthy first" Mike nodded and curled up again his sister.
"Thanks Nance" with that they both fell asleep, wrapped in each other's arms.
