There were sounds of gunfire and the sound of and the screeches from monsters dying. Fang was hiding behind a rock reloading his rifle. "Shit shouldn't have tried to fight this monster so early!" He said out loud. Fang was down to 1% his health bar flashing red. He heard the gallops of the alpha of the group charging at the rock. He dodged to his right getting a clear view of the beast. The towering beast looked like a centaur-like creature, moving swiftly like a horse, more brute force than an Asian elephant. He tried firing at the creature only to run out of ammo. He looked and saw he left his ammunition pouch by the..well what was a rock. The beast began charging at him before it stopped. Soon a loud crack was heard after the beast was stunned. Fang ran to the nearest cover, he thought he was under attack. Then he saw a bullet trail. The shooter was close. But by the spaced time by each shot, he knew it was a sniper. By the third shot, the beast fell and faded away. Running to his ammunition pouch and was being greeted by the sniper herself. "You know..... Sorrowvines are not the best monsters to pick a fight with while being a starting level?" This unknown sniper seemed cocky. "W-well...no..before. Yeah kinda figured that one out. Uh...who are you exactly?" Fang asked. She took half the experience and rewards of the defeated Sorrowvine. "Riki'i..."She responded. "I'm...Fang. And thank you for helping me." He continued looking at her as if he was  wanting to say something else. She scoffed and walked away, "Wait!" He yelled out grabbing her attention. Turning around looking at him "What?" She asked He took a deep breath, "Can I join you please?" He asked. After a couple minutes of thinking, she nodded "Yes. but you must listen to me. Got it?" She asked filled with demand, she was serious. Nodding quickly "Y-yes" Fang responded. She scoffed and began to walk to Berloth. "Come. we're going to the nearest town." She looked over her shoulder speaking to him. He followed her being silent.
