Leo's POV

"So, where are we going to?" I ask Amanda as we slip into the pool. "By the way, your bathing suit looks marvelous this morning." She giggles and I splash her with my arm. "You look great too, babe. Been working on your abs?" We float around as I try to flex my arms for her. Unfortunately, this results in me taking huge gulps of sea water as I sink to the bottom. Amanda swims down and pulls me up. I sputter and and she giggles again. "Smooth, real smooth, lover boy." I try to look away as I blush but Amanda notices first.
"Hey, is something wrong?" she asks. "Nothing," I say with as much enthusiasm as I can muster. She replies with,"Well, there better not be, because we are going to play some games." "Which ones?" I ask. Before I can finish my sentence, she calls out," Race ya!" and is halfway back to the shore. By the time I get to the spot she was, Amanda is already back to the starting point. "Ha, that's one point for me, zero for you." I try to act gloomy about it but Amanda just looks so cute when she is happy.
After Water Tag, HORSE, and a few more games, she finally announces," Let's play Marco Polo. I get to pick who is it, since the scores are five to zero. You get to be Marco." I sigh and close my eyes.
"Marco."
"Polo!" she calls out and I try to go towards the sound.
"Marco."
"Polo!" Again, I reach for the sound but I miss, again.
"Marco."
"Polo!" I reach for the sound, and this time, my feet hit something hard. I realize I am standing on the special sandbar(if you don't know what it is go read the Last Present) Amanda says," Open your eyes." I blink them open and she is nowhere to be found.
"Amanda, Amanda!" I scream. She taps my back and I ask," Is this some sort of revenge for the sand ditch t.....?" Before I even finish my sentence, her lips are on mine. I can't believe it's happening again. This is why I love her. She is so brave and does things like this for me. As we get more and more passionate, I twirl my hands through her hair and she wraps her arms around my neck. It feels like the first time again, exept even more special. I feel like I don't deserve her. We stand like this for about four minutes, before breaking out of the kiss. "This time, you didn't have to be cold, and we didn't have to be our alter-egos." Amanda smiles and says," Aww, Leon was cute, but you are so handsome that nothing could compare to you."
I lead her back to the shore and I grab my towel. "Aww man, that's what I was forgetting." "No worries," I say and I wrap my towel around her. She goes over and lays down on a lawn chair. I pull one next to hers and hug her as we lay back. "This is the life!" I tease. She looks at me questioningly and I say," You are my life. I couldn't imagine being without you."
We sit there for 20 minutes and stare into each other's eyes. She gets up and throws the towel at me. I realize she is now rummaging through her bag. She pulls out a pair of scissors. "Ready to cut the balloons?" she asks. I gleefully nod and we head over to a chair with balloons duct taped to it. "Oh, you thought of everything!" I exclaim with delight.
"I've put 14 balloons here. We can cut them together. Try to think of a memory we have together while we cut it," she instructs. Balloon No.1. "This one is for the chalkboards, and how we bonded because of them." I say. I peck her on the cheek as we slice the ribbon and the red ballon goes soaring. Amanda says," Think of them quietly. We can do the last one together."
12 balloons and memories later, we are on the final one." All right, on the count of three, we can yell out our memory together. One, two, three!" In that moment, we yell in unison," Our first kiss on the sandbar!" Realizing that we both said the same thing, I pull her into a kiss as the last ribbon is cut and a blue ballon floats off. Fireworks go off in my head as passion takes over and we hug each other while kissing. Five minutes later, Amanda pulls out as her phone vibrates.
"My mom has to pick me up. Who knew it was already 2pm?" I peck her lips as she gathers her things and runs to the parking lot. "Oh, one more thing," she says. "You know how you told me that you had wanted to kiss me for a really long time? Well, that feeling is mutual. I loved you from the start." She runs off, her flawless hair billowing in the wind. I am left in the sand, contemplating the connections of Amanda and I.

FanfictionThis is a continuation of amandav156's story, since they left off in a cliffhanger. I will try to keep the style the same. The story line is all by her or him, I'm just using my ideas to add on.
