"Oh ha ha. Make fun of me because my eyes were playing tricks on me. Very funny dude," Axel says as he walks over to the kitchen.

"I'm serious! I'm the king of dragons." Lance shouts as he started to feel annoyed at Axel's dismissal of him.

As Axel searches through the refrigerator, he pulls out a soda. "I've known you for three years. I think I'd notice if my best-friend was a dragon."

"Do I need to show you to believe me!?" Lance says as he snatches the soda from Axel.

Axel hits the bottom of Lance's hand, making the soda pop out of Lance's hand so he could grab it back. Axel can see Lance's eyes were locked onto him. He knew what this type of glance meant. Not wanting to start a fight over something stupid, he decided to humor Lance. "Impress me then and this time I won't run."

Lance takes a few steps back and closes his eyes. Axel starts to take sips from his soda as he watches Lance. He was even sighing under his breath, believing that nothing was going to happen and that Lance is only looking for some attention. Lance's body began to slowly change. His stomach and chest started to reveal red shiny scales as they cover his body. His fingers and fingernails began to fuse as they turn into claws. A red scaly tail pops out of Lance's tailbone area and starts to swing side to side like a grandfather clock. Lance slowly opens his eyes to reveal that they too have change. His eyes now look yellow with the pupil now in the shape of a diamond instead of an oval.

Axel drops his soda can onto the floor and becomes paralyzed at what he is looking at. His eyes weren't play tricks on him, what he saw on the bed truly was Lance. Axel's body didn't know what to do. His brain wants him to run to safety but his heart is telling him to stay. All he can do is tremble as he tries to utter out words from his mouth. "Uh...uh..eh..ah....da...." He had promise he wouldn't run away and deep down he knew this monster was Lance. If he wanted too, he could have harmed Axel a long time ago. This thought is what was keeping Axel from completely losing it.

Seeing how uncomfortable this form was making Axel. Lance turns back into his human form and only then was Axel able to gather himself back together. "I told you I was a dragon." He walks over to Axel and bends down to pick up the spilled soda can.

"I can't believe it. My best-friend is a dragon!? Am I in a Disney movie all of a sudden? What is this? The guys are going to freak out about this." Axel said as he paced back and forth.

"NO!" Lance yelled out. "This has to stay between us. It's bad enough I accidently got you involved in this. But it does feel nice that you now know."

"Why not? This is huge!" Axel asked.

"There a reason why we hide ourselves by making it look like we are normal people. My natural hair color is red but I make sure to dye it black to try and blend in better."

"You dye your hair black!? When will the lies stop?" Axel says in a dramatic voice as he throws his arms up in the air with his head looking up.

Lance just chuckles softly to himself. Despite showing Axel his true form, he's back to acting his old self. It's as if he had no reason to hide this secret for him. Once Axel was done acting all dramatic, he wanted to know if Lance ever planned on telling him or anyone the truth about himself. Lance paused for a second before answering with a, "Nope." Axel seemed slightly annoyed and really wanted to know more. Lance, not wanting to spend the whole day explaining things, says he will answer three questions.

"First question, I thought dragons were huge. But that form is not something I'd imagine dragons look like."

"Well, that's not my real form but it's close to it. Once a dragon breaks their spell and go into their true form. They become stuck in that form and can't turn back into a human for a whole year. So it's kind of like a last resort thing. For some odd reason I keep turning into a dragon when I sleep. Probably because it's more comfortable."
