It's been days since they have been gone. I've been working on my close combat, hunting/tracking skills and sneaking; basically everything I remembered from the lab that I did every day. I even managed to make a nice bow with some arrows to practice my far away combat strikes. But I still grow weary of this forest. I haven't used or practice any of my powers; besides for a couple tracking in and out of the water. I know there is something in these woods, something dark. I know I need to leave soon before the scientist find me. I just got done from fishing and was on my way back to the cabin with my catch, when it started raining. At first I smiled and blinked as the rain went down my face. But then I realized. When there's rain, there's always a storm. And if there's a big enough storm...there's lightning. My eyes widened as I bolted back to the cabin. The rain grew sharper and fell faster as I ran. I ran faster as thunder rolled throughout the sky. As fast as a bullet, lightning struck a tree, cutting it clean in half. I'm too heavy to make it. I looked at the fish and quickly threw it to the cabin, much to my dismay. I became faster and slid right as the tree fell behind me. I quickly got up, ignoring the slight sting and continued to sprint to the cabin. After a few seconds, I finally saw it and pushed myself to go faster. I could hear the lightning slam onto the ground, barely missing me. Is it trying to kill me?! It's attracted to my magic! The moon goddess may be mad with me. I finally reached the cabin and flew through the door, slamming and locking the door shut. I panted and slid down. I groaned when I thought about how much food I had let outside in the dirt. I checked up on my leg to see baby scratches and a big bruise. I made sure I wasn't hurt anywhere else. I was still kinda sore from the explosion, but I can live with being sore. I groaned again when I sniffed the air. I smell like wet dog. I stood up after a couple minutes and walked to the fridge that was, surprisingly, still working and checked to see what I had left. I had some fish left with some granola bars and a couple eggs. I sighed. Man, I guess I really did need those fish. To you guys, it seems like it's a good meal for one. But for me, I'm literally feeding like, three people. I take out the fish and cut it in half. I take out two granola bars and an egg. I grab a metal top and placed it over two metal bars. I cracked both eggs on the metal and lit my hand, putting it under the metal sheet. I waited for a couple minutes and grabbed a plate, scooping the eggs off and placing the on there when they were done. I the place the metal sheet on the porch to cool off, but paused. I saw something. It moved behind the tree. I tried to look closer but saw another bush mover on the other side. There! I saw a flash of white. I quickly looked at the other bush and saw a flash of yellow. I was about to walk out and see whatever it was, when lightning stuck in front of the porch. I jumped back and yelped. I swear it's threatening me. I let out an angry growl and put three large and gruesome scratches on the porch, marking my territory. If anything other than my pack crosses this scratch, I'll know. I go back into the cabin and slammed the door out of anger. I used my magic to make sure everything was locked and shut tightly. I flicked my magic back off I go back and eat my food. If your wondering why I didn't cook the fish, it's because I eat mostly raw meat. If you wondering what I am, I guess I can share. If, that is, you haven't already guessed it. I am a white wolf mixed with a mermaid. Oh? I bet you're wondering why I didn't change then in the rain. I figured out the necklace keeps my powers and my sides at bay. So, I can change and do what I want willingly, as long as my necklace is on. If my necklace is off, then my powers will go out of control. If I gave you a high five with my necklace on, it would be normal.. If my necklace was off, you will go flying at least 20ft away. I held my necklace to my chest and sighed, thinking of the children and Ace. I put away my plate and threw away my trash. I kept my granola bars and put them on the counter. I read the flavors.
"Hm. Cheesecake flavor." I looked at the other one.
"Strawberry cheesecake. Hm. Nothing can beat the original." I said to myself before halving the cheesecake bar and putting the rest in the fridge. My stomach still growled a little from still being hungry, but I ignored it. I quickly finished my bar and wiped my hands. I went into my room and made on my dresser. I got into bed and laid there for a few seconds, before the soft sounds of the rain lulled me to sleep...
