Hey guys! Thanks for passing by again, and I hope that this second lesson would be an eye-opener for you. This is more of a motivational message than a lesson. But I hope you learn something from it.
Lesson 2 || Whoops
❝People say, 'What advice do you have for people who want to be writers?' I say, they don't really need advice, they know they want to be writers, and they're gonna do it. Those people who know that they really want to do this and are cut out for it, they know it.❞
—R.L. Stine, WDI know that this section is supposed to be where I give advice for writing, but this time, I'd like you guys to reflect on yourselves and your journey as writers. When I first started writing here in Wattpad, I didn't write because I wanted to write to entertain people. I was only writing to kill time because I had so much free time before. But before long I fell in love with writing stories. I may have written terrible stories before, but I got to improve throughout the years with each book I managed to write. After all the books through the years, I guess I have what it takes to actually become a writer.
Then what comes next is actually admitting that you do have imagination. What I practiced were skills required of a writer are the decision making needed in story writing. Like discovering that character development is important, what scenes are required to develop that character development, and the character's persona that would make that necessary.
❝And as imagination bodies forth
The forms of things unknown, the poet's pen
Turns them to shapes and gives to airy nothing
A local habitation and a name.❞
—William Shakespeare (from A Midsummer Night's Dream)Then finally, just let your imagination take hold of your hands. Let it drive you. Let it lead you to the wildest of fantasies. Write down the smallest ideas, the smallest bits of inspiration. Even if you're not going to use that idea now, you might use it someday :)
