"Fanchen, come downstairs! We have a visitor!" Her mom yelled for her, and grumbling, Fanchen put on any necessary clothes, and started walking towards the living room.
"What is it, mom?" Fanchen rubbed her eyes, having cried a little after watching Episode 7 and seeing the twins. Her mom smiled, ushering her to go to the kitchen. "This feels like some really weird treasure hunt."
As she opened the door, she saw someone bent over what seemed to be a box of her mom's Chinese New Year cookies, back facing her. Fanchen stood there, waiting for whoever it was to finish chewing (and chomping) on the food stuffed in their mouth.
When they finally turned around, Fanchen burst into tears for the second time that night, and threw herself into the arms of her boyfriend.
"I missed you so much, baobei." Zuo Ye buried his face in her hair, as she stifled her sobs as quietly as she could.
He was finally home.
