Help me, please help me!! I tried to shout, but my mouth wouldn't open. It just refused to budge no matter how hard I tried. Come to think of it, I couldn't really move much at all. It's like I was being tied down to something. My body was aching all over. I couldn't recall any memories of what happened before I got here, or where I was. I could open my eyes, though. Slowly they forced their way open and I could observe my surroundings more. My arms were tied down by a thick, black rope.
In front of me was a large, shining mirror that reflected my pale image back at me. I looked so sickly, so inhuman. There was no color in my cheeks. My skin was so cold, yet I felt so hot. My lips looked cracked and damaged. That's when I realized how thirsty I was. It felt like there was this intense burning in my throat. In the mirror, I could see the dark red line curving around my neck. That's when the memories flooded back. The letter, the music, my last thoughts, the rope tied to the bar in my closet, and then darkness and the intense feeling of loneliness. I also, very faintly, remember the ladder
Through the mirror I could see that there was a door behind me. I wanted to turn my head to the side, but my neck hurt too much. It felt like all of my bones were being compressed into a small ball. I started crying. I wanted it to stop. I wanted my mother. I wanted to die.
"But aren't you already dead, my dear Jaeda?" A high pitched, cold voice spoke from behind me.
A dark silhouette emerged from the shadows behind me and circled around the chair so that I could see it's face. Her face, to be exact. She was a woman. At least, she appeared to be one. And she was the most beautiful woman I had ever seen. With brown, wavy hair that fell down past her shoulders. Though her face was perfect, her eyes were cold and harsh. They were blood red, and they blazed like a thousand flames. Her pupils were so small I could hardly see them.
Slowly, she leaned towards me so that her red lips just brushed my ears. I could feel her cold breath rush down my neck. I sat there as still as a statue, too scared to move.
"Isn't that what you wanted?" she whispered.
I couldn't think straight. My mind felt fuzzy and my vision started to leave me. I heard her cacophonous laugh ring in my ears as my head dropped to my lap and I fainted.
