We're Still Here

I'm Cadence Evergreen and I'm reporting live from the Chandra Clan. ''Wait That's Athena's clan'' I thought as my heart began to violently beat against my chest. "Today a horrendous event has taken place, the entire Chandra people have been massacred''.

I shot out my chair. "No, no it can't be true!" Athena's clan is too strong to be completely wiped out I shouted as tears began to roll my face. "However there was a sole survivor; the heiresses to Chandra Clan; Athena Chandra" the report declared. I immediately turned to leave.

I have to be there for Athena, she is all alone now, what can I even say to her I thought as tears were flowing down my face. My heart breaking for my friend, who was now the last of her people. Wait Vale said as he suddenly grabs her arm. I need to be there for Athena like she was there for me he thought. ''No I have to go see her, because who else does she have now''I said as tears ran down my face. H-hher family is gone, I said now sobbing uncontrollably. Then I'll come with you, said Hunter Why you don't know her said I. I know her okay let's just to be there for her Hunter said as tears filled his eyes. S-sso due I Amber said as tears ran down her face. F-ffine let's just go I said as started walking.

The four teenagers raced through the hallway and sped through the schoolyard. They probably get in trouble for skipping exams, but Athena was more important. We sped through back alleys, jay-running across the streets, trying to get to their friend. Then they came up the millionaire- row house where she lived. There were police and fire trucks everywhere.

A large house was engulfed in flames and they ran closer, there body bags lined up side by side in the road. '

'What horrible sight''Vale muttered to himself. ''Why anyone do this to Athena's clan why'' he said. ''Athena''I quietly said. A girl with shoulder-length medium blue looked up. She kneeled on the ground next to two body-bags. However, there was no emotion on her face, nothing at all. Why-why-why Athena's thoughts were screaming at her. ''Faven, Vale, Hunter, Amber she said in a whisper. ''What can I say to her what I thought my hand beginning to shake. No no, it's not about you.'' I thought. Athena put her hands to her aching head. ''Why, why, why did this happen'' she thought. I fall down beside her and for some reason Vale fall down as well. ''It's okay to cry, you don't have to be strong right now''I said as my heart ached for my dearest friend. ''It's fine to feel broken because right now that's all you can feel and that's okay Vale softly said. Amber and Hunter knelt beside her as well, and put their hands on her shoulder. ''Please just cry, no one would judge so just cry''Amber whispered. Suddenly Athena looked up at the sky and then her mouth opened. Then a wail a terrible grief-stricken wail erupted from the depths of her broken heart. ''Mom, Dad why-why you were supposed to stay she howled. ''You suppose to be the ones who stay, you were supposed to stay'' she sobbed'' as her voice soften to an aching cry.
