The Perfect Focus [Verhao] (Seventeen)

"Where did you guys go? Wonwoo and I have been searching for you for the last ten minutes," Soonyoung says through the phone.

"Sorry we didn't tell you but we're going to see a movie." Hansol replies.

"WHY DIDN'T YOU INVITE US?!"

"Soon, we've been hanging out together all day. Han and I just want a little alone time," Minghao says. "We still love you guys though."

"Seems fair." Wonwoo answers.

"WHAT? NOOOOO! I HAVE TO SEE MY SHIP SAIL!!" Soonyoung screams.

"Okay, you guys have fun," Wonwoo says. "I'll be sure to keep Soon out of trouble."

"Okay," Minghao laughs.

"AT LEAST PROMISE TO TELL ME IF YOU GUYS KISS?!" Soonyoung manages to say before the line goes dead.

"We really need to set Soon and Chan up so Soon can stop living his love life through other people." Hansol laughs.

"Right."

Hansol and Hao go to theater and buy tickets for Black Panther, which is nearly sold out. They buy popcorn and drinks and even some candy (ngl, they probably spent like $50 on snacks alone 😂).

As they wait patiently for the movie to start, a trailer for an upcoming horror film plays. As it plays, Hansol subtly reaches over and grabs Minghao's hand. Hansol wasn't usually the type to get scared of scary things but the trailer had lowkey freaked him out and Minghao had sensed it. So Minghao grabbed Hansol's hand and gave it a reassuring squeeze.

They continued to watch the previews hand-in-hand and then the movie. The only time they let each other's hand go was when Minghao hadto go to the bathroom towards the end of the movie.

After the movie they took a walk around downtown as they talked about the movie and just enjoyed the night breeze and being with each other. Eventually they ended up back out Minghao's dorm, standing outside his door. They stood there for a few minutes just holding hands and admiring each other. Neither of them wanted the night to be over.

"I had fun today," Hansol says after a while, "To be honest, even if we had just stayed in and watched Spongbob together, it would've been enjoyable."

"I feel the same," Minghao said softly, slightly blushing.

"I'm glad we found each other. You're so amazing and I can't wait to have more days like today. I really like you, Hao."

"I really like you too, Han." Minghao whispers as he looks into Hansol's eyes.

Hansol steps closer and closes the gap between them. He reaches up and strokes Hao's cheek while looking him in the eyes. Hao's heart begins to beat 100mph as Hansol's did the same. Hansol pulls Hao closer and their lips finally touch.

"This is perfect," Hao thinks as he closes his eyes and gets lost in the kiss.

"This is perfect." Hansol says to himself as he feels himself smile against Hao's lips.

This is perfect.
