Adusk's POV

"Addy! Wake up!" A gentle voice spoke shaking me from my sleep.

"Guh...f-five more minutes..." I groggily spoke, shifting to my side.

"Come on! You need to wake up!" The voice pressured as it kept on shaking me.

"N-no..." I sighed and just kept on sleeping.

"Fine." The voice chillingly spoke, and just then, I felt a searing pain in my stomach.

My eyes flew open, and I was mortified.
A corpse. A decomposing corpse was standing in front of me. It reared it's head back, and screamed in my face, sending maggots and flies onto my face, as it grabbed my arms. I kicked the corpse, sending my blankets flying into the wall, along with it. I quickly got to my feet, and flew out the door...straight into a town square. And just to further my luck? Corpses everywhere. Either charred, or a pale green with missing limbs. I quickly ran the opposite direction, hearing the things follow me as I fled.

"JOIN US!" A deep, rough voice echoed in my head.

"YOU ARE ONE OF US!" A female voice screeched, as she let out a howl.

I ran straight into a alley, running further into the darkness, until a blinding light lit in front of me. Police tape littered my path, covered in blood. So I lifted the tape up, and ran into the light.

And there. Laying dead. Were my brother and parents. I fell to my knees, letting tears fall down my cheeks. I put my hand on my parents chest. They were covered in blood, with a familiar mask on their faces. Please. Please no. And just then my brother lifted his head up, and snapped his neck all the way around to me, bones audibly snapping in the process.

"Join us, Addy. We are all so happy." He ordered, as he grabbed me by throat and slammed me backwards to the ground, and took the white mask off. And lowered it towards me. I struggled, moving left to right, until I felt two pairs of hands grab my shoulders. My parents. The mask moved closer, and closer.

"No. No. PLEASE! PLEASE! I'M NOT LIKE THAT ANYMORE! PLEASE!" And then it clasped around my face.

Monika's POV

As me and Ela reached the door into our dorms, we saw Tina heading down the hallway.

"Geez, where were you Tina? I told you about the new kid over an hour ago!" I sighed, rolling my eyes.

"Geez, I'm sorry Monika. I got sidetracked at the gym. Well, the place isn't on fire, so I'm sure he's fine." She teased, letting out a small giggle.

"I suppose. Come, Monika. Me and Tina will unpack the clothes." Ela said, swinging open the door, followed by Tina behind her, as they moved to the kitchen.

I decided to check up on Addy, he was probably in his room. I gave his door a gentle knock. No response. I slowly opened the door, seeing him asleep in bed, and shaking. Shit. I quickly started shaking him, speaking his name. No response.

"Ela! I need you, right now!" I yelled, followed by Ela walking in his room.

"What? Oh. He's having a nightmare. So what?" She sighed, turning back to the door.

"I can't wake him up! What do I do?" I panicked shaking him, and groaning as I got no response.

"I'll get Doc." And with that she rushed out.

I looked at him on the bed, and couldn't help but feel bad. I'm sorry.

5 minutes later.

Ela quickly arrived with Doc, and he soon got to work. Right now he currently had a stethoscope on his chest.

"He barely has a pulse. Merde, listen. His body is really badly damaged. I know I said he could
come out of med bay, but I didn't think...this," he said as he shook a hand at him, "Would happen. Listen. He's in a stage 4 sleep. This can be fatal. So I'm going to prescribe him some morphine pills and some sleeping pills. You mustn't let him fall asleep, until I give you the pills, ok?" He finished, packing away his tools, and handing me a small strange package. "That will wake him up. Goodbye, Monika, Ela." He spoke, and left with a nod.

"Ela." I spoke, my voice shaky.

"Yes?" She replied, a hint of nervousness in her voice.

"Are you going to do it or am I?" I spoke holding the vial.

"I'll do it." She nodded, and grabbed he vial, before breaking it in the middle.

Adusk's POV

The mask suddenly disappeared, and a blinding white light enveloped my vision, not long before I saw the sight of Monika and Ela over the edge of my bed.

"H-hey." I croaked, my throat dry.

"Nice to see you awake, Addy." Ela teased, gently punching me in the arm with a smile.

"Ja, you gave us quite the fright, we had to get Doc. We couldn't even wake you up." Monika, nodded, gripping my knee and smiling.

"Sorry." I whispered, putting my head in my hands.

"Don't apologise. What was your dream about anyway? You were shaking and screaming!"

And then, I threw up in my mouth.
