"People of Nottingham" King Richard began, "I will no longer be in control of this kingdom for awhile, I, King Richard the Lionheart will be out on a crusade to retrieve our Holy Lands"

The crowds of Nottingham watching gasped but then began to cheer at the fact of regaining the Holy Lands.

"Have no fear" King Richard made a gesture for the crowds to "simmer" down, "Until I return with the Holy Lands in England's hands one again, my faithful brother John will be taking my place temporarily, and if I die, he will take the throne as king"

The people of Nottingham didn't know much about King Richard's younger brother, John. All they knew was that he was the upcoming prince.

"Now John," Richard turned to his brother standing calm and regal, as if he was regal, "I trust that the people will be in good hands"

John stuttered, "Oh--uh--"

"Yes! Yes! He will, right sire?" Sir Hiss, John's personal advisor nudged him with his tail, "Oh yes, of course, dear brother" John agreed, but thinking about how miserable he was going to make the people of Nottingham, while his elder brother looked down at John with a proud smile. He secretly prayed to that his brother would perish in the Crusades so he could be king. Just the thought of being king exhilarated him.

What had happened was Prince John had his personal advisor, Sir Hiss hypnotise his brother into going out into a crusade, only so he could die because John knew that Richard was only humble and forgiving, not a warrior figure. Therefore, Richard shall be perished, leading John to his place in throne for he thought was rightful. The king. The monarch. The ruler. It all excited John he could barely process any other thought besides that.

"Very well," Richard motioned the rhino gaurds to come to his aid, "Bring me my armor, sword, and some soldiers" he instructed as he was about to saunter off inside, with his cape dragging behind him.

"But, but, wait!" John called to his brother; Richard turned around astonished, "Your crown, since I'm going to be in charge would not it make sense to show the people that I am in charge by wearing the crown?" John's eyes lit up at the crown that stood on his maine.

"Why yes" Richard lifted the gold crown off his head and dunked it onto John's brow; the crowd slid down shielding his eyes. John adjusted it so the crown fit properly on his head without it slipping off again and inhaled. "I can already picture my coranation" Joh mumbled to himself, highly amused already.

"What was that?" Richard turned around and glanced at John.

"Oh nothing, I was just listing all the ways of how I--Hiss and I are going to better Nottingham" John cleverly thought up. Being the optimistic and open minded fellow Richards was, John knew he'd believe his sly fib.

"Oh yes, yes your majesty!" Sir Hiss added to John's excuse, to indicate that what John said was true when it was in fact not.

"Excellent!" Richard boomed gladly and continued on his way as the rhinos followed. The crowd down below cheered and clapped at their new temporary monarch, uncognizant of his real plans.

Prince John proudly walked up and silenced the crowd, "As your new ruler, I will being making some sudden but understandingly wise reinforcements" John whispered to Hiss, "Hiss, the list" Sir Hiss, with his tail gave John the list. The list extended all the way to the end of the balcony. John cleared his throat, "Enforcement number one, taxes will be raised from three pounds to ten pounds"

The crowd gasped, "I don't have that much" one whispered.

"Nay one shall question the court, nay one shall have any excuse not to pay pay taxes, and I will be hiring a new sheriff. I assure one that will be noble and much more aware of the law then this one. Consider this kingdom officially revised!" John announced. Sir HIss nodded at every word. Murmurs buzzed in the crowd.

"I'm not sure if I like this new monarch" one of the people in the crowds whispered.

Prince John walked up to the throne that Richard sat in and sunk down into the seat.

Before, he lived at his mother's palace, and had to sit in one of the lower-quality chairs. But even as a lad, the thought of being king drove him and he felt it gave him a reason. A reason to never give up or feel bad. He was mere steps away from becoming the new king of England.

John cackled, "You see this Hiss?" he said, "This is success, and soon I will be king" he siged at the thought.

"But, but, but sire" Sir Hiss stopped John, "What if Richard survives?" John reached over and grabbed Hiss by his throat, "No he will not, you relucant serpent!" John bellowed into his snout; Hiss's feather popped up from his hat was now wrinkled and bent, "Oh and another thing, Richard's niece shall be returning from London shortly"

"John glanced over, "Neice? But I am not married," he grimaced.

"Yes, but well, that's what he said, sire" Sir Hiss shivered in John's presence. "Okay well when she arrives, Richards expects you to make her feel welcome" he said getting up.

"Why would that not be in my favor?" John asks suspiciously.

"I am not saying you are not a polite one, you are!" Hiss lied, "But some times you tend to put the conversations to focus on yourself" he immediately gulped at his brave confession. He could already determine when John was going to bellow or strangle him for his over-honest comment.

"I do not!" John finally bellows the say Hiss expected.

"Okay you don't!" Hiss immediately contradicted his confession. Lord knows what John might've done if Hiss let his tongue hiss more, a lot more than John needed to know.
