Chapter 1 : Happy Anniversary

It was spring once again. The dew on the grass was fresh, the street lights has begun to flicker down and the cold morning breeze greets me with a soft peck on the cheek. I lift my droopy eyes open to find that morning has come with the sun yet to settle in the sky. 

I sat up with a tired smile, looking down at the other side to find Minseok peacefully sleeping. I scoot a bit closer to his side, stealing a gentle kiss on his cheek before I make a stand from the bed. I slip into my night gown, ambling to the open balcony just a few inches away from the bed. 

Unlike the usual scenery of the streets of Seoul, I find a more breath taking one. It was a bird's eye view of the entire city, it seems rather dull in the morning, but rest assured that when night falls, it's the most prettiest sight you'll ever lay your eyes on. 

I focus my attention down to my slim finger, smiling as I raise it above eye level. It was a Harry Winston ring with a dazzling diamond intact. Suddenly, in the midst of my thoughts, two arms coil my waist radiating a familar warmth. I smile, holding onto the hands that are placed on my abdomen. 

The person's chin rests upon my right shoulder, "..Good Morning, beautiful." His soft whisper in my ear sent shivers down my spine, the good type that makes my head turn blank. I spun around, embracing him with the same warmth he sent last night. "Morning.." I reply back.

He kisses my forehead, "You never seem to get tired of staring at that ring, huh." I muffle a laugh, "I don't think I could ever get tired of the person who gave it to me." He release a small smile before crushing his lips with mine, after a moment, he pulls away with a satisfied look. "Let's have breakfast after I take a quick shower, Mrs. Park." He crookedly smiles me way. 

"Okay, Mr. Park." I jest. He saunters his way to the bathroom, chuckling with delight. I focus my attention back to the beautiful view in front of me. My name is Chae Min Seo, I am currently a famous sales woman that profits from selling hotels in Gangnam. Of course, before getting into such a busy job, I had to work my way to the top by risking everything for money to grow out of my pocket. Well, I guess risking everything was worth it in the end after all. 

The guy that embraced me just now.. is the person I am soon to be bound with. To be honest, this is not my first marriage. My husband, who suffered a long-term brain tumor, died five years ago. Leaving me and our daughter in such a tragic state. 

But things are going to be different from now on. Because I've finally met the man that could fill up the missing depth in my heart, Park Minseok. He has told me that, over the years, he has been keeping keen watch of my work and has been constantly buying the hotels I sell. We've only known each other for exactly a year and a half, but the bond we have for one another is irreplaceable to any other. 

Just last night, he had finally proposed to me with the most gorgeous engagement ring that I thought wouldn't be possible to wear until now. And after making love last night, I finally realize how happy I'll be from now on, now that I have him and he has me. 

My phone that was idly seated on top of the nightstand, beeped an unexpected message. I sat down by my bedside, unlocking my Galaxy Note 3 to find one unread message from Sehun. My face turns extremely pale as I take a moment to sync in the messenger's name. 

With a trembling thumb, I click to read his message. 'Hey honey. Good morning! Happy sixth Anniversary! Just wanted to let you know that I've booked us both to a five-star restaurant tonight, Pierre Gagnaire, remember? Haha. I can't wait for you to see the surprise I'm giving. I'll be meeting for you around seven, don't be late, okay? I love you!' 

For the tiniest moment, my heart clench with bliss, but the second I knew, I am already an engaged woman that plans to become a loyal and understanding wife to her spouse. I hesitate to press the delete button, but I can't simply do that. Because half my heart belongs to him, Kang Sehun. It was right after my deceased Husband's funeral that I've met him.
