" But you sai- you said you'd stay with me fo-forever"

I sobbed

" I'm sorry but I have to go it's been my dream be in the army ever since I was young " Matt replied. With that he gave me one last kiss.

" Goodbye Myer" he said as he boarded his plane. I stood their for an hour convincing myself that it's just a bad dream. But eventually I went home my heart throbbing and my thoughts faraway.

4 YEARS LATER

"Myer come on" I heard my best friend Chelsy call from our car.

"Coming!" I shouted as I started to make my way to the car. Once I hoped into the passenger seat she started driving.

"What took you so long M ? Were you saying goodbye to lover boy "

Chels questioned making a kissy face.

" Firstly I was saying goodbye to tommy I mean we're not going to see each other all summer Secondly he's not my lover boy we're just friends that go on dates". I replied

We pulled up to my house and I went upstairs while Chelsy has another conversation with my parents. They think I can't hear but I can. Chels, mom and dad have this big brain storming meeting where they talk about how I was different before and when I was with Matt as well as how I can go back to my normal self.

Apparently I used to act like I was high and apparently that was good and apparently now I don't act like that. My parents are weird. I mean sure I haven't had a boyfriend since Matt, sure I go on dates with guys and share kisses with them but when I meet a guy I say straight away " We're not boyfriend and girlfriend but we're not friends with benifits, we're just complicated friends". It works perfectly. Everybody thinks Matt is dead but I have faith and I have to make myself available just in case he comes back.

But things with Tommy are getting serious I'm thinking of moving on but I was best friends with Matt ever since I was little and when I was thirteen we started dating. We were boyfriend and girlfriend for five years and BFFs for seventeen years. Then he went to train in the army and I can't just forget him.

It's like forgetting your parents you just can't............
