CHAPTER 4 - It's Not All That At All
JAZEL'S POV
I just woke up. Because of the tour yesterday, I think I'm close to agreeing to the student council's term. I just saw the dorm, and I will have no privacy there. I will be discovered in two days' time. They also don't have a joined bathroom in the dorm, if you want to take a bath you need to go to the shower room that has no cubicles just thin shower curtains. They have bath schedules, and curfew. It's as if their scholars was treated like prisoners. The other students, the wealthy ones, have their own condo unit inside the University's premises. It has complete amenities like a hotel room. Though they can't go outside without permission, they have an exclusive clubhouse where all the latest consoles are there, play rooms, mini bar, mini theater. I realized that even here you can see the difference between those who has money. What I liked about the school is the classrooms and library. The classrooms have tablets per seat where you can access all the lectures. They have projector for the lessons, and sometimes the professor is just on the screen of the tablet. No need to bring pen or notebook. What I observed was, the scholars always have someone with them. I asked Stephen about it and he just said that they were their benefactor. I want to clarify this with the president later. I don't want make the same mistake as before, so I woke up early and made sure that the door was still locked before I took my shower and changed clothes. I'm still wearing the disguise Sinandro gave me. The Princess Villa is a luxurious mansion with many rooms, the president himself is living here. It has its own kitchen with gourmet chefs, spa, sauna, Jacuzzi, mini theater, and salon. The room they provided me is 5 times bigger than the apartment we lived in before. It has a walk in closet, own bathroom that has tub and shower, it also have a vanity table complete with the latest skin care products and make up. It's a girls dream come true, but the thing is if a "boy" will be staying here isn't awkward to have this kind of room? The good thing here the upholstery is somewhat masculine, it has a shade of black and red. It doesn't have frilly mattresses either.
I didn't unpack yet just in case I change my mind on the last minute. I just finished setting my hair when Sinandro knocked. "Jazel, are you ready?" I opened the door. "Yeah, is there anything I need to bring?" "Just the Ipad, you might need it to take down notes." I grabbed the gadget he provided me that is one of the ‘privilege' of being an ‘idol'. "Where are we going today?"
"You'll just observe what I will do all throughout the day and then if you have any question note it down and well go over it tonight before night out."
"Okay… by the way what's the ‘benefactor' thing that the other scholars have?"
"You're observant aren't you?" he told me. "Well, they are like the financier of those scholar. If you're a scholar here you better have one. Even if you're able to get in you would still need money to afford some of the things that the school provides. Like food, projects, field trips… Some of the scholar don't need to find one because they are endorsed by their employer to study here, but for those that don't have a ‘backer' they would need to find someone who would finance their education."
