Love and Zombies: Can we survive it?

That Could Never Happen!

Back at the house; somewhere around midnight

Brian and Mary are searching the house for Mary's best friend, Beth and sister, Sarah when they find her father, Adam.

"Daddy! Where are Beth and Sarah?" Shouted Mary with urgency.

"They left looking for you before the rain got too bad! Why? What's going on?"

Mary started to panic, "Oh no! Brian what if whatever happened to that man happens to them!"

"What are you talking about? What man? What happened to who?" Asked her father.

"When we were at the park," explained Brian, "Mary saw a man struggling to walk. When I went over to help him, he was covered in blood, and half of his face was gone! It was almost like he was a zombie!"

Adam laughed, "A zombie?" He said hysterically. "You have to be kidding me! Zombies don't exist!"

Brian exclaimed, "But now they do! That man is a zombie! We have to get together what we can carry and get out of here, now!"

There was noise in the front yard. "What was that?" Mary said nervously. "I don't know, but I'll go check it out. Maybe it's one of your zombies." Adam said sarcastically.

When he opened the door, he didn't know what to say. The creature he had mocked just moments before, was now standing twenty feet away from him! Not just one but nearly twenty-five of them! Some walking the streets and some just standing there. He could also see bodies on the ground, and now there were screams coming from the neighbors houses.

Adam slammed the door and turned to Brian and Mary. "I can't believe it! There are almost thirty of them walking around outside!"

What he did not realize is when he slammed the door, he drew the attention of most of the zombies to the house.

"We have to get out of here!" Said Adam. They all agreed and started to grab whatever they could: food, clothes, and anything they might use as a weapon!
