Chapter 5 - Best friend turning into my boyfriend?

He ran towards me,held my hand in his hand.

It felt like we were holding hands for such a long time,but sadly we weren't. Oliver quickly pulled my hand away from his and said " WHY DID YOU DO THAT? WHAT DO YOU NEED TO GIVE HER?" , i heard the bus honking,and so did Oliver and Frank. Frank handed me a piece of paper,before I could even take it Oliver grabbed my hand and started pulling me all the way to the bus.

He pulled me to the back seat and just sat me down. I was extremely mad at him.

Our conversation on the bus:

Me: Can you move i don't want to sit with you! whats your problem?

Oliver: (without even answering my questions he asked) Do you like him?

Me: Why should i tell you that?

Oliver: *took a glance at me then moved to another seat*

As confused as i was i started thinking. Does he like me? We have been friends for such a long time and he's never told me anything. I decided to stop thinking about such nonsense he was just mad that's all. I remembered Frank wanted to give me a piece of paper, if Oliver hadn't pulled me I would've been able to read it.

Frank was the last one to board the bus and we left. I just ignored him both of the boys the whole ride home.

I was the first the first one to be dropped of,i got up and Oliver followed because he lived a few houses down the road. Just when I passed Frank we pulled my hand and handed me the letter then smiled and looked away. In my mind I couldn't stop thinking about that paper. "What does it say?" "Why did he really we want to give me that paper?" All those thoughts were stopped when Oliver pushed me to move.We both got off the bus,then started walking towards our houses,i was quite hungry so i decided to go to the nearest mart to buy some goodies. Oliver saw that i wasn't going to my house and asked " Mind if i come?", i was still angry with him but I slightly cooled down thanks to the letter. I just said "okay" with a little smile on my face.

We were walking side by side, that's when he put his arm around me. At first i didn't know how to react,but it was just a friend to friend thing so I just ignored it and walked.We arrived at the mart and walked around..I bought a bottle of juice, and a danish, and Oliver got a bottle of coke and some crisps. We payed and left the mart. On the way home we stopped at the park to eat our snacks. I called my mom to tell her where i was in case she started worrying.

We sat down and started talking. I asked him how his family was, and just how life is. Then suddenly he went back to the topic about Frank, he apologized for acting like that,i just accepted it, and we moved on. He was about to tell me something when my phone buzzed, it was a friend request from Frank. I didn't want Oliver to know so i just put my phone down and we continued talking.

I kept on checking my phone just in case my mom called or i had any text messages from my parents. It started getting dark so we decided to pack up and start walking back home.

That's when he said " I like you". I wasn't so sure what if he meant so i playfully just said "haha me too" . When i said that he stopped walking and said it again " no like i really do like you not as a friend". I didn't know how to reply because i was kind of confused and shocked at the same time. Then i started think maybe that's why he pulled my hand away when Frank was holding it. Now everything made sense!

Still walking quietly, we arrived at my house.

It was a very awkward silence.. Instead of making it even more awkward i just said "BYE! see you tomorrow!" with a smile on my face. He replied saying the same thing then leaned forward and...
