Jump.

Block.

Rebound.

The whistle blows, "Out! Red corner kick!" the referee yells.

"Fiona, cover first post, I got back! Blake, Rose, Reese, Pika, and Jess cover and put pressure on red. Lila, go behind me next to the sidelines in case I get it to rebound. Erica, Mia, and Cassidy, stay up on the field, and do not defend anyone in case we get the ball back! Got it everyone?" I shout towards my teammates.

In return, I heard a whole bunch of got it's, yes, and on it. I start to walk back to the back post, and got in the position of 'bend the knees to stay happy on your feet' kind.

Then in the next moment, I am diving forward for the ball getting forced back into the front goal post Fiona was covering, due to the impact the ball had. From this happening, my back now stings since I was trying not to lose the ball's grip. So I ended up gripping it like it was a baby.

The whistle blew again. It's our team's ball.

Good.

I get up holding the ball to my hip, and walked to the eighteen line. Once I got there, I held the circular object just above my waist, brought my leg back, and dropped the ball. Instantly punting it towards the left side of the enemy's field to Erica, our left wing.

I watch from afar as Erica passes the ball to Mia, then back to Reese, one of our defenders. Them doing this, made a triangular shape making Canada's soccer team run more, losing more energy.  As soon as Cassidy got it from continuously switching the round object to different teammates, she automatically launched the ball diagonally to our low striker, Pika.

Pika, than got past the three defenders, due to Rose, who came up from defense. Mia, from right wing, and Jess who is a forward, but stays to cover when it is a corner kick, came to put pressure on them.

And bam!

The soccer ball got executed beautifully from right above the penalty line!

Everyone from the crowd was corresponding into our ears from that very shot, making us proud of ourselves. I jogged straight to the humongous hug that was forming on Pika. That's how happy we were!

This was our very last game until the winter games for soccer begin inside, and we finished it nicely, with a score of 2-3. Due to being on the U.S.A's Nation Soccer Team for U18. I was really glad I'm on this team because I can play all year long. Though, I have a feeling after this that something bad will happen.

After finally getting into the locker room to change from the game, and getting flowers' with our country's colors on them, while saying our thanks to playing against Canada. Gia, a teammate who was off the whole entire second half, blurts out, "Is it just me, or is something going to happen when Coach walks in?"

This question got most of the team to shut up, and got us thinking. Well before I responded to her question, "Yeah, I have a feeling something might happen."

"You always go with your gut don't you, Avery?" Blake says.

"Guess I do!" I confirm, which made them all laugh.

"I just hope it doesn't include us taking a break because I do not, and I mean do not want to go back to school," Fiona declared.

"Well, no matter what we all have to due to leaving high school to train at some point, but I don't want to leave you guys and have to separate, then retrain for winter," Kayla, one of our forwards', states.

"I don't think any of us do!" I try to confirm, and get a bunch of hums and yeahs'.

That's when our coach, Coach Mikel, walks in. Don't worry he isn't a pervert, he's actually gay and really nice, so none of us mind if he walks in on us changing with his husband.

"Everyone, I need to tell you all something," he starts to announce while we still change, "We will be taking a break for the year, meaning we are joining all of the other teams that are having a break as well. So, once we head back to the hotel we are staying at that has our belongings, we will gather your things then say our goodbyes, and head our separate ways."

"What!" most of us say in unison while screaming.

"You heard me, girls. Although I will appreciate it if you join a club of some sort at your school or college to stay in shape," coach Mikel then says.

Some of us then stare looking dumbfounded at what he just said, or some girls fall on the benches in the middle of changing.

Next he replies with, "Please understand, girls. You should know that every team for Woman National Soccer are taking a breaks for this whole season." (What he means if you don't know is taking a break for a year)

All of us finally understood, and responded with oh's or I understand while finishing to change. All of us started packing our gear away with any essentials we brought with us to either spray our cleats and shinguards with or to take showers in the stalls they had in the locker room.

Once we packed everything from the locker room, we immediately went to the two buses that we had arrived in to get seated, in order to return back to the hotel we were staying at to pack our belongings there. I sat at the back of the first bus since I was one of the first people to finish changing.

After we all arrived at the hotel, we went up to our rooms, and started packing everything we had brought to Canada. Then when we all reunited from packing at the hotel lobby, we signed out, and got back on the bus until we ended up at the airport.

When we got to the airport, we all did the money transfer, show our passports and ID's, then finally got onto the plane to head back to U.S.A. Instantly when I sat down on the cushioned seat, I past out.
