Min Yoongi was found alone in an abandoned apartment on July 1st, 2001 by a runner who happened to hear his cries from the second story of the building. The man retrieved the child who was placed into his first foster home April 1st, 2002 the date in which was assumed to be his first birthday. He stayed until age four when the family found him too 'difficult and problematic' to deal with and placed him back into the system. Since that day he has been placed in several different homes each one soon deciding they couldn't handle him returning back to the system.
Soon after Yoongi was found they ran a DNA test to find the parents. Kim Carmen mother of Min Yoongi, was pronounced dead at the hands of Min Chul Yoongi's father who was later found and arrested for murder. Yoongi was told of these events at age ten when the agency thought he was old enough therefore making him even more 'problematic' knowing his father was still alive.
