She was on the floor crying. "Denise, what's going on?" I ask in a more worried tone. She suddenly shouted "MY FATHER DIED IN A CAR CRASH!" She then started to cry even louder.
I stood up and comforted her, then I remembered .
Flashback——
I was on the front door of Denise's house waiting for someone to open the door.
Her mother got the door and greeted me "Oh, you must be Damien! Come in." She then went upstairs to tell Denise I was here. After a few moments she came down with Denise following her. Her mom said she was going to cook dinner for us.
I followed Denise to the couch to watch some tv when I heard pots and pans drop to the floor. I quickly look behind me to see her mom on the floor not moving. Denise ran quickly to her, forming tears on her beautiful eyes. I followed behind her and pulled my phone out to to call an ambulance. Denise was now crying on the floor screaming "MOM! WAKE UP! MOM!" Thats when I heard sirens. The doctors burst open to the door, picking Denise's mom on a stretcher. Denise was following them to the vehicle crying loudly. I was stuck to the floor, watching in shock.
Flashback end——
I guided her to the bed, making sure she was comfortable. I then asked her "So uh, where are you going to stay?" I asked her slowly. "I honestly don't know.."
She answered. I then suggested her to stay with me but she asked me if I was sure, making me worried and confused. Why would I ask her if she wanted to stay with me if Im not sure. I just pulled her in a hug, squeezing her gently. That seemed to calm her down, suddenly the door opens slowly, I see Haru walk in while taking a picture of us hugging. She just squealed quietly, making both of us really embarrassed. I felt heat rise up to my cheeks, turning away in embarrassment. Haru noticed this and quickly took a picture of me again. I just sighed and made a 'tch' sound, making her mad that I was imitating Levi. The silence was irritating me and being the typical me, I broke it.
I said "Haru, can you leave us alone for a moment?" She fangirled and winked at me, I just rolled my eyes.
