You revert back to your original dimension. Feeling lightheaded, you try to raise your hand to help lessen the pain. Your arms fail to respond to your demands and you look down in a state of panic. You notice that your limbs have been bound by a metal clasp, attached to a long slab of metal secured to the wall. Feeling weak, you lower your head, before bumping your head on something hard. Glancing up you see that you are concealed within a glass chamber. Squinting, you see your reflection within the glass cage. Your tattered clothes hang onto a frail thread. Head throbbing, you try to recollect what had happened before you got locked up in this cage. Before the killings. Before all this happened.
The eerie silence is broken when a door swings open, causing the lights to flicker. Talking is heard. You hang your head, tilting your ears toward the glass.
"Isn't it unbelievable? Some people are just insane."
Another voice replies, "Some people are insane. Maybe she thought she could get away with it by begging for pity. Obviously, that failed."
The first voice sneers and answers, "You're right about that. Hey, d'you think we need to start the machine again? Which one should we choose?"
"How about an intense one this time? But, man, who would've thought someone was capable of altering their memory? It's pretty mind-blowing."
"I mean, after all, she is insane," repeated the first voice.
You tilt your head a little higher, as an attempt to take a peek at the intruders. From the shadows, you can identify two figures, one lanky and tall, and the other, short and stout. A pair of eyes notice this movement and whispers to his companion, "I think she's heard us. I think we gotta start it soon."
The lanky man replies, "I'll go check to make sure. What's her name? Milona? Karen?" as you hear him creep closer and closer to you.
"I think it was Sedina. Is she awake? You should hurry up and start the machine already."
Your head snaps up at the sound of her name. Why are they mentioning her name here? You suck in your breath as the footsteps come to a stop a few feet from you. Knuckles rap at the case, startling you. You look up, your eyes meeting the mans'.
"I will, I will. She's definitely awake. I'll start the machine now."
Before he can walk away, you scream in misery, "Let me out! I didn't kill them. It was all Sedina. Not me!" Tears roll down your cheeks as you gasp for air desperately as you beg for them to understand.
The man laughs and whispers, "I know that it was all you, Sedina. You killed them. You didn't want to admit your mistakes so you altered your memories. Don't you remember?"
You shake in your skin. It can't be. Your hands grow clammy and heavy. Looking down, you shriek in horror as you realize your hands are covered in thick, flowing blood. You try to shake the blood off but there seems to be more of the dark, scarlet liquid. Trapped, enclosed in a glass cage, you accept your fate in defeat. As the voices drown out, your eyes slowly roll to the back of your head, leaving everything, once again, dark.
