“He cheated.” I say, forcing the words out of my mouth.
She frowns. “What?!?”
“He cheated. On Me.”
“But. This Is Niall, we’re talking about, right?”
“Yeah..”
“Why would he cheat? I mean, he doesn’t seem like the kind of guy, who would.”
“Well, I guess everyone can surprise you.” The words sound bitter and I can’t help feeling like each word ways a thousand pounds.
Because, I feel like I’m seeing everything for the first time.
Everyone does surprise you… In the long run.
“Did Natalie say anything?” Says Eliza, thinking hard, she wants to believe the best in Niall.
“She gave me some story about Niall ‘accidently’ kissing Cleo.”
“Cleo? As in.. Cleo Harping? The model?”
I nodded, I felt like I was sucking a sour lemon, I probably looked like it too.
“Well.. Maybe it was just an accident..”
I sighed. “I don’t know what to believe anymore.”
