Just then I heard the door rattle and Carrie ran as fast as she could back to where she was before and lay there, not moving an inch.

I kept my eyes fixed on the door as it swung open and came in Cole.

"COLE! Are you okay? Thank go-," I began to say before I saw Jacob and Austin trailing along behind him.

"What the hell is going on?" I asked them.

-----------------------

"Alexis baby, how you feeling?" Cole said, coming closer to me with a grin on his face. He reached up towards my head and softly traced my cut with his finger and I winced, slapping away his hand.

"What the hell's going on Cole?!" I yelled at him again.

"We're getting revenge." Jacob took a step closer from behind Cole.

"Revenge? Revenge for what?" I asked.

"You'll understand someday." Austin whispered.

"Or not." Cole said, starting to walk around the room slowly. Jacob and Austin laughed softly.

Cole stopped walking when he saw Carrie. He bent down and played with a strand of her hair.

"Hi Carrie." He whispered in her ear. I could see Carrie stiffen even more than she already was.

Jacob and Austin walked towards Carrie too.

"It's okay, I know you're not dead. You're going to be just fine." Cole said. If he was trying to sound reassuring, it wasn't working, but Carrie opened her eyes slowly anyways.

"I'll do anything. Please Cole, don't hurt me." She began to cry out.

"Shhhhh. I won't hurt you." Cole said and walked out the door.

Austin and Jacob stayed in the room, staring at me and Carrie.

"Austin? Jacob? How could you guys? You did this to all these people." I said to them.

"You don't get it do you?!" Austin yelled.

"NO, I really don't!" I yelled even louder.

"Uhh Alexis, I think you should keep it down." Carrie told me. I decided to ignore it, thinking that it's just because of how scared she was.

"AUSTIN!" I yelled. Austin walked towards me.

"What do you want Alexis? I won't tell you shit so just shut up." He said.

"So you're saying that the whole time, you were acting? Acting that you liked me? Acting that you even cared about me?" I asked him, staring into his eyes.

Then I began to think of when he warned me from kissing Cole, and when I first met him, and when he was there when I woke up in the hospital bed after the whole drug thing and then I thought of how much of a fool and joke he must've thought I was to fall for it.

Before I knew it, I was crying. Yea I was crying over a guy who had helped tie me to this chair and who had helped with murders.

I tried to blink away the rest of the tears and for a second, I thought I saw that little bit of warmness I had seen in his eyes before, but it was gone in a flash to be replaced again with coldness.

Austin didn't even bother answering. He just turned around and walked out the door.

I saw Jacob who just stood there staring at me.

"Give it up Alexis. You and Carrie are going to be just like the people you see around you." Jacob said before walking out.

Just then, Carrie began to cry.

"I-I thought Cole said he's not going to hurt me." She whimpered.

I just looked at Carrie. "Yea, well you can't trust what Cole says."
