Chapter 4: The Paladins Part 2

Hickari walked up to Ash "You did very well Ash but that was only the easy part" Ash looked up at Hickari smiling at him "W-wait w-what" Ash sat up "Yup tomorrow is when the real training starts for you, anyways its getting late I will see you after school same place same time then..bye Ash" Hickari started walking​ off she said  but turned around her head and winked at him. The sun was setting as Ash was covered in burn marks, when Ash reached his dorm he opened the door and smells something good cooking, Carol popped her head out the kitchen area "Oh hey Ash your back what took you so long" Ash closed the door behind him.

"Me and Hickari was training in the duel arena" he looked at Carol and she saw all of the burn marks on him she rushed up to him "Oh my god what happen where-" she thought for a bit "It was Hickari wasn't it" she looked at Ash with a serious look "Yeah it was but she did it so i can get stronger" Ash said. "I knew it what kind of training is this leaving you hurt like this I may have to have a serious talk with her" but Ash stopped her "Wait Carol I want to train like this if it will make me stronger then I don't care how intense it may be" Ash balled up his fist Carol then gave a sigh "Alight I trust you but I wont like not one bit of it" Ash gave her a smile and started  sniffing the air "I guess you smell what I made for you" Ash nodded wile Carol walked in the kitchen "Oh yeah how did you get into my dorm room anyways without my key card?" Carol started giggling nervously "You don't need to worry about that,just go and wash up I serve you a plate when you come back."

Ash went to the bathroom and washed his hands,Carol set two plates on the table Ash came out and sat down at the table "There I'ma get the drinks you can eat without me if you want" Ash looked down at the food and it was cooked salmon with fluffy rice. Carol came back with two cups of juices and sat down "This looks so good Carol i didn't know you could cook this well "Carol smiled and blushed a bit "Aww thanks Ash let's eat" after they ate Carol got her stuff and opened the door "It was nice having dinner with you Carol" Ash said "W-what it was nothing really I just wanted to do something nice for you" she looked at Ash "I will see you tomorrow in school then bye" Ash waved bye as the door closed "Bye Carol."

The next morning Ash's alarm started beeping but he didn't wake up and turned it off "Mmm..five more mins" Ash said as he turned to one side,at school Carol was talking to Mic in class "Hey have you seen Ash yet" Mic nodded his head no "I think he is still asleep I'ma text him" Mic took out his phone and started to text Ash. Ash's phone began buzzing,he then started to slowly wake up and looked at his phone to see the time "Aw man I'm late!" he quickly got up and quickly gotten ready he then opened the door and started running, "I guess he is still at home" Mic said as Carol looked down at the ground "Oh" the bell rang "Well let's head to class we don't want to be late" Carol then looked at Mic "Alright let's go" they both started walking to class.

Ash ran through the gates and into the academy "Crap crap" class was about to start when Ash opened the door out if breath "Ah Ash your here I was about to put you down as late go on take ur seat" the professor said,Carol looked down and smiled that Ash was here "Alright professor" Ash started walking up to his seat, he then sat down next to Carol and sighed "I made it in time" Carol then poked his shoulder "Glad your here Ash" he looked over "Thanks Carol." After class Ash was about to leave until Mic stopped him "Hey Ash seen you rush in" Ash giggled a bit "Yeah I didn't wanted 2 be late" "Are you going to train with Hickari now" Ash stepped back "W-wait how you know" "Well Carol told me,would you mind if me and her came along and watch." Ash gave a smile "Sure come on" he then waved at Carol to come with,later at the dueling arena Hickari was waiting for him "There you are Ash are you ready to begin your training" she then looked behind Ash "I see you brought your friends" Ash nodded "Yeah they wanted to watch if its ok" "Sure its fine why don't you two sit over there" Mic and Carol sat at far distance away but can still see and hear what is going on.

"Well todays training will be a little different" Hickari said "Different how?" Ash questioned "Well we are going to work on strength,agility,stamina,endurance and power witch will go with strength so do you think your ready Ash this will get hard" Ash turned around and saw Mic giving him a thumbs up and Carol a smile (I believe in you) Ash looked back at Hickari smiling like she knows he will succeeded "Yeah I'm ready for anything" Ash said with a determine​ look on his face. So after 2 weeks of hard training  began as Ash climbed a mountain, swam in a river, dodging and destroying boulders wile avoiding fire attacks from Hickari wile Carol and Mic watching on giving support the training was non-stop with a few breaks in between.

As all of this was going on a mysterious figure was watching on in the shadows, so after the 2 weeks of training Ash could feel his improvement and Hickari walked up to him after class "Hey Ash mind coming to the council office with me" Carol looked over to see her talking to him walked over "Sure Hickari I don't mind" Hickari smiled and walked of and as Ash was about to follow Carol stopped him "So what did she wanted this time" Ash turned around "Oh she just wanted me to go over to the council office" Carol pouted a bit "Well im coming along and you wont be able to stop me" Mic walked up to the both of them "Same here" Ash looked at Mic and sighed "I was going to let you guys come along anyways" Hickari stepped back in "You coming Ash or what" he turned to her "Yeah I'm coming..come on guys lets go" Mic and Carol nodded.

Later in front of the council door and opened the door and the lights were off "Come on in Ash i want to tell you something" Ash went inside with Carol and Mic right behind them.
