Schlimazl (Yiddish) - a chronically unlucky person.
"So I could either be a Virgin Mary like you and wear skinny jeans and a nice blouse, or," Jetta trailed off, sliding all of her clothes to the left side of the clothes rack. She reached into her closet, turning around to wave a small, red lace dress in the air with a grin on her face. "We can spice it up a bit and I can wear my I'm getting laid for sure tonight dress. Either or is more than fine with me."
Violetta was currently laid across Jetta's twin sized bed, the palm of her hands underneath her chin as she uninterestedly gazed at her over-ecstatic, black haired friend. Jetta had banged on Violetta's door thirty minutes prior, interrupting her studies because she needed her best friend's advice on what to wear to her dinner tonight with Jungkook. Apparently Jungkook is taking Jetta out somewhere college students definitely cannot afford, which is why she is currently freaking out about what to wear.
"I don't know why you continue to ask my opinion on clothes because you always shoot down everything I suggest anyway," Violetta crossed her ankles, lifting them up in the air behind her. "And I am not a Virgin Mary. Stop calling me that."
Jetta playfully scoffed, rotating the dress in the air in front of her as she eyed it, "You are though. When's the last time you've even had physical contact with a guy? Like a year?"
Violetta opened her mouth to let out a response, but quickly closed it once she realized she couldn't exactly defend herself with her answer. Jetta noticed her lack of response, smirking slightly as she peeked over towards a glaring Violetta.
"Told you," She giggled slightly, taking the red dress off the hanger and placing it neatly on the bed beside Violetta. "You know, I'm sure Jungkook would gladly help you out with finding a potential boyfriend. You did set us up together. I mean, did you see his friends the other night? Surely you had to think at least one of them was cute."
I definitely thought one of them was cute, that's for sure, Violetta thought to herself.
"I don't know," She replied, grabbing Jetta's stuffed monkey Jungkook had won her at the fair when the three went a few weeks ago. She glanced down at it longingly, mentally wishing someone would buy seventy dollars worth of tickets just to win her a stuffed animal. The only thing desirable she got that night was a basket of cheese fries, and she bought those herself.
"Oh, come on, Vi," Jetta rolled her eyes before bending down to examine her many rows of shoes, "You know at least one of them was cute. You just don't want to admit it."
Violetta twirled the monkey's small bow tie in her fingers, pursing her lips slightly. Taehyung immediately came shooting back into her mind at the mention of Jungkook's friends, not that he has left her mind that much anyway. It had been three days since she met him and every time she closed her eyes, his boxy-grin would appear. Every little detail about their ten minute conversation came flowing back at the most random times, and Violetta wanted to slap herself for being so caught up with a boy whom she'd only conversed with one time. There was just something so alluring about Taehyung. Violetta just couldn't stop thinking about him.
"Black or nude pumps?" Jetta asked from inside the closet.
"Black."
"I'll wear nude."
Violetta groaned, laying her head down on the bed and tossing the stuffed monkey behind her. "Why am I even in here if you don't want my opinion?!"
Jetta threw the pair of nude pumps beside her, sliding the closet door shut as she stood up with a grin, "Okay fine. I really didn't need your help with picking out an outfit cause I picked it out mentally right when Jungkookie already asked me. I just wanted to talk to you about boys."
