Santa Monica Dream

I can't believe I'm moving again..at least this time it is with Chloe. When I moved to Seattle I kept writing to her, but I never got a letter back..I can't think about the past. All that matter is tonight.  

I look over at Chloe, who is focused on something. I wish I could see inside her mind. Sadly I can't.. "Max?" Chloe suddenly said "Yeah?" I asked "Why did you decide to save me and not your friends..and your home?" As she said that I looked over at her. She was still looking at the road, taking small glances at me "Because I remembered what you told me before I moved..' We are Chloe and Max. We will always be together even if we are not. And I don't want to lose you again..not ever."

Chloe sighed and didn't say another word. I look out the window and stare into the forest we were driving by "Where are we going?" I asked her "I'm trying to find the nearest hotel. Can you get your phone at look it up or something?" I got on my phone and look it up "It says it would be at least ten miles away.." I hear Chloe sigh again "You can take a nap if you want. Just try to not have a nightmare." I nod and try to get in a comfortable position. Once I get in one I close my eyes and soon dozes off. 

~~~~Time Skip~~~~ 

I feel my arm slightly shake. I open my eyes and look over at Chloe who is shaking my arm " Come on sleeping beauty. I found the hotel." I sigh and nod. I get out of her old beat down truck and stretch out "I already booked us a room." I yawn " Okay." I walk into the hotel and look around at the lobby. It looked a bit old, but still a little fancy. Some of the wallpaper was torn and the lady at the front desk looked like she could pass out at any moment.

I follow Chloe to our room. As we walked I looked around at the paintings. They were a little creepy in my opinion "I don't know about you but I think this place is hella cool." I smile happily seeing Chloe in a better mood. She probably found a place that was selling some coffee and decided to get some. 

She opens a door to a medium sized room " I got what I could afford. We are so lucky I save money every once in a while." I slightly giggle and sit on the bed. Chloe sits next to me and wraps her arm around my shoulders " I knew I could make you giggle at least once. Get some rest as I explore the hotel." I nod and lay down. I cover up and snuggle into the warm bed, happy to be out of the car. Soon I fall asleep to a dreamless rest.

~~~~Another Time Skip~~~~

I wake up to the sun beaming down onto my face. I look over to the other side of the bed to see Chloe staring up at the ceiling. She looks over at me and smiles "Morning Mad Max." I smile at the nickname. To be real, I do like the nicknames that she gives me "Morning. Do we have any plans for today?" I asked her "Well, I am planning on trying to find the nearest town. I asked the lady at the front desk and asked her. She said that it should be at least twenty minutes away." 

I smile and nod. I suddenly had the urge to kiss her. I blushed and tried to push the feeling away. What is happening?
