I sat there listening to Lachie talk as we ate breakfast in our room, we had it delivered to our room as we were too lazy to get out and get it ourselves. So, Lachie went on about his normal life, like his usual self, explaining to me why his parents aren't very worried about what he does right now.

"My parents, they... They just dont understand how I feel and interact with people, they say that I'm too indirect when socialising with other people, they think that I have no social life."

I laughed saying, “That just sounds like the direct opposite of my parents, they’re always so understanding, no matter what the situation they’re there for me but the thing is sometimes, I just want to run away, when I can’t explain it to them and I’m lost for words, I just run out.”

“Funny ‘cause sometimes I don’t even bother replying if my parents ask about something I don’t want to  answer because it’s just annoying how they keep going on about things you know?”

“Actually I don’t know” I laughed, “But its ok, keep going.”

Lachie sighed, “It’s really hard to explain to you because you probably never even experience this kind of stuff, but enough of this shit, did you forget why we got up this morning?”

“Oh! Yeah, we were going to go swimming right?” I exclaimed as I smacked my head with my hand in an act of stupidity.

We finished the food and then we decided to go and change into our swimming gear as it would have been stupid to walk to the beach and swim in casuals, or even worse, pyjamas.

"Steph," Lachie said, "you take that bathroom and I'll take this one."

"Sure."

So we went into the two bathrooms we had in our room, which we had found was rather strange as usually in hotels, a single bathroom would have sufficed.

About five minutes later we both emerged from the bathrooms and saw each other across the room, we were both still, looking at each other as if examining a delicate flower. I looked up and down Lachies body, his muscular arms and body, was pleasing to the sight. I had to admit, my best friend was a quite the hottie.
