The disappearance of Mika's family was a completely random event in the young girl and her brother's life, no one saw them leave of enter the house, police believe the kids could be the reason the parents disappear but at the moment with 0 evidence...
As I unlock the window lock and open the window looking down at Danny and whispered "wha-what are you doing here its late shouldn't you be at home or something..." I trailed off with my words till he climbed in through my window smiling.
"Nah. My pa doesn't really check my room during the night so I just end up coming over here anyway" Danny says as he closes the window and looked around my room
"After all my time working here for your grandpa I've never actually been in the house besides the kitchen when Mrs.Sullivan offers me lunch she kind of for bides me from going any farther in the house unless its the bathroom" He continues to talk till I stop him by putting my hand on his mouth
"What do you mean grandma wont let you go in the house?"I ask him tiliting my head to the side
"It's nothing but you wanna hang out tomorrow I can show you around the town, some of the cool spots around, good food places,so forth so what do you think?" he ask looking at me a smile on his face was bright enough it would make a diamond jealous so I smiled back lightly and nodded before replying to his offer
"Alright I'll take you up on that offer we can head out at noon since my grandmother will be up by then-" Danny cut me off
"No, can we leave at 10 you can leave a note on the white board on the fridge she keeps morning list and such on there" he said a bit frantically glancing at the door every now and then which confused me 'why does he want me to leave so early?' I look at the clock and see its 3:24 am.
Sighing a bit I nod causing some of my short black hair to fall over my hazel-green eyes
"sure, we can leave at 10 I'll leave a note now get going before anyone sees you" Danny nods and quickly opens the window as he hears the door down the hall open and he quickly jumps out
"Will do, see ya' Mika"
he says before quickly getting away from the house. Closing the windows I glance at the door as I hear the floor boards creak under whoever was walking down the hallway towards my door before a the person knocked, thankfully it was just my grandfather who spoke as he opened the door
"Mika, you okay pumpkin?just checkin' in on ya" he said fully opening the door and smiled at me. I smiled nodding
"hey pop-pop?"
pop-pop and mum-mum where the names I was raised to call my grandparents on my fathers side and I only called my grandparents that where my brother usually didn't speak a lot but when he did he called them grandma or grandpa, my grandfather looked at me fully and tilted his head before making a interested 'hmm?' wanting to know what I had to say
"Is it alright if I go into town with Danny? in the morning he wants to show me around" I asked sitting back on the quilted blankets on the bed watching as my grandfather smiles,
"So you met Daniel? Well I don't see why you can't, just try to come back before dark alright?" He says with a slight stern look of concern and I nod in concern which causes him to smile and nod back
"Alright then, get some sleep, I'll tell your mum-mum when shes awake. Have fun Pumpkin" He says before he leaves closing the door and walking back to his bedroom the floorboards creaking under his feet.
I sigh a bit laying back on the bed keeping my hoodie on and slowly fell asleep on the bed as I had a long day ahead of me in the morning...
