Ninetales is a beautiful fox Pokèmon. It's a fire type, that evoulved from the Pokèmon, Vulpix.

The Pokèmon deluxe handbook states, "Ninetales can control an opponent's mind with the light from it's red eyes. Stories say this Pokèmon formed when nine wizards merged into a single being." What confuses me is, if nine wizards merged to form Ninetales, what about Vulpix?

It's pronouced: Nine-tails (just in case you didn't know how to prononce it!)
Height: 3ft 7in, that's actually pretty small!!
Weight: 43.9 lbs.
Possible moves it could learn: Nasty Plot, Ember, Quick Attack, Confuse Ray, and Safeguard.

Now, lets see what the TCG says about Ninetales!

This is the card I have of Ninetales. It's a reverse hollow, so that's why it's shiny. As you can see, it's a Lv.32, with 100 hp. It's moves are Lure, and Fire Blast. Fire Blast, does 120 damage.

The card's disciption of Ninetales states, "It [Ninetales] has nine long tails and fur that gleams gold. It is said to live for 1,000 years." Ninetales, is a very majestic Pokèmon, seeing as it can live for 1,000 years.

Ninetales is based on Kyuubi no Kitsune, which is a japenese nine-tailed fox.

  Ninetales' ability is Flash Fire

Ninetales' ability is Flash Fire. Flash Fire will make the Pokèmon immune to fire type moves and, when activated, it will increase the power of it's fire type moves by 50%. However, it won't inncrease power after the first time.

Ninetales also has a hidden abiliy of drought. Drought will make the sunlight become harsh, and will power up fire type moves. It will last for the whole battle, unless the weather condition is changed.

Now, let's see what the pokèdex entrys for Ninetales say about it.

Red/Blue: Very smart and vengeful. Grabbing one of it's tails could result in a 1,000-year curse.

Yellow: According to an enduring legend, 9 saints were united and recarnated as this Pokèmon.

Gold: Some legends claim that each of it's nine tails has its own unique type of special mystical power.
