Rogue Pov

There was a young boy was crouched by a small puddle long blonde hair laid messily across his forehead his mouth upturned into a cute smile showing off his dimples. A frog sat unamused at his feet its stomach inflating as it let out a loud croak. The noise caused the young boy to squeal in amusement giggling before poking the poor creature yet again.

"Eli we gotta keep movin" I chuckle at his antics as he jumps up smiling sheepishly.
"Sorry mama" He giggled stumbling over to me gripping my hand in his.
A comfortable silence fell as we walked our arms swinging back and forth as the hum of the forest caused us both to relax taking in the scenery. Autom was falling over the forest its bright burst of colour dimmed slightly by the morning fog.

Small creatures leapt from tree to tree or rock to rock over the large puddles of water that look more like lakes. Squirrels frantically collecting their last mouth full of nuts before they dive into to the peaceful depths of hibernation. Trees shed off their last coat of leaves ready for the next season of snow and ice bracing themselves for the hell to come. 

Eli always loved the snow. Every year since I found him he has hoped for the powder of cold to fall so he could finally build another snowman. However, we are never fully sure of when one season goes and one comes yet the seasons are the only thing we are able to tell the time with. It has been five winters since I found Eli and ten maybe twelve winters since I set out into the world alone.

"Momma," Eli suddenly stopped his ears perked up.
"Whats wrong baby?" I stay quiet a second waiting to hear of smell something.
We have come to learn Eli's sense of hearing is higher than mine so he is usually the first to notice anything.
"Other wolfies," He whispers fear evident in his voice as he closed his eyes waiting for another sound to pierce his ears.

Confusion filled my head as doubt quickly followed suit. There couldn't be wolves here unless we took a wrong turn somewhere. Or a pack expanded its territory which means a new Alpha has taken over the previous one.
"Stay quiet Eli," I place my hand over my lips pulling him to one side before rushing behind another tree and shifting.

I shrug off my rucksack and neatly fold my clothes and place them in the small torn bag. The familiar feeling of my bone cracking and shifting cause me to cringe slightly before brushing it off. I felt the presence of my wolf move forwards in my head hearing a groggy hello as if she had just woken up.
"We have passed on some packs territory and I need your help getting us out of this mess," I beg to hear her happily comply. Gripping the bag between my teeth I feel something out of place.

Trotting over to where Eli was I feel an overwhelming dread take over as I look to see he wasn't there. Panic took over as I frantically rushed around trying to pick up his scent. Following the familiar smell of pine, I hear his voice suddenly squeal loudly in the distance.

Instincts took over as I hear him cry out again anger building within me as I raced towards my pup teeth on show as I snarled. Two large men were stood in front of my baby both of them smelling me suddenly aware of my presence. The two men growled viciously pulling my Eli behind them shielding him from me. I drop my bag onto the floor discarding it quickly.

My hears fell flat against my head as I bared my teeth snarling and growling widely getting ready to attack.
"Shit I knew there was a rogue!" The taller cursed moving into a protective stance.
"You have five seconds to shift before we consider you a threat to the pack and kill you" The shorter of the two growled a certain ora radiating off him.
"NO! Momma!" Eli cried suddenly hearing this and began fighting against the grip of the shorter male causing them both to stop.
Hesitantly releasing Eli from his grip my ears perked up and I hid my teeth as my pup ran towards me.

His small arms wrapped around my neck as I nuzzled my nose into his neck before pulling away and inspecting him for any injuries. 
"That tickles" He half whines half giggles pushing my nose away causing me stop chuckling to myself.
The two men stood dumbstruck as they just watched silently mouthes open. Why? Because it's well known that most if not all rogues kill their pups as its just another mouth to feed or a weakness. So before they get attached they kill them as babies. Especially since Eli is an omega it must be like they are hallucinating seeing me so protective of him.

I bow my head allowing him to climb onto my back before raising up to my full height. Eli's small hands clung to my mattered fur as I began moving picking my bag up off the ground. A larger wolf suddenly leaps from the thick brush startling me slightly. He was obviously the beta of the pack as his wolf was large and he had power radiating off his every movement.

He let out a warning growl my wolf taken aback grows anxious in my head.
What does he want?
'He wants us to shift'  She growls offended by his sharp tone as if demanding her.
I growl loudly back at him my ears slightly flatter warning him back or to let me through which he refused.

"Momma I scared" Eli whispers hiding his face in my fur whimpering slightly.
Guilt flooded me as I reluctantly nudged him off my back and dragged myself behind a nearby tree. Shifting quickly I change into a large tattered top and shorts before rushing towards Eli. I saw surprise light up in their eyes probably seeing my age seems I look quite young. I would guess im around 17 or 18 years old so having a boy around five years old calling me his mother would be a shock.

Picking him up he sat on my hip his head hiding in the crook of my neck. They stood for a second not knowing what to say all lost looking.
"Why are you in our territory?" The beta questioned who had now shifted.
"I didn't realize your pack had expanded its territory. I have passed through this area several times without trouble so I just guessed I was able to do it again. I apologise for trespassing but we were only trying to pass into no man's land," I explain holding Eli slightly tighter.
"Whats your name," The Beta questioned his eyebrows furrowed as if concentrating hard.

"I don't know"
