LADIES LORDS AND NON-BINARY ROYALTY

Okay you, y'all know about the Voltron au for Sanders Sides, right? Yeah, okay, so:

If somebody asks you who everyone would be, your automatic response would probably be: "Thomas is Shiro, Virgil is Keith, Logan is Pidge, Roman is Lance, and Patton is Hunk." Right?

Well, I got to thinking, and I kind of thing otherwise. Mine is:

Thomas = Hunk

Virgil = Shiro

Logan = Keith

Patton = Pidge

Roman = Lance

HEAR ME OUT!

Okay, so, first off. Thomas = Hunk.

I think this is fitting because Hunk and Thomas both seem like a mix of everything. Both smart in their own ways, happy a lot, pretty emotional, etc, etc.

Thomas is there for everyone, and though he is the Host, I think that in this AU he would like to be more of a helping character, valued and content nonetheless.

Next, Virgil = Shiro.

As we've seen in episodes, Shiro is quite anxious a lot, he just aims to protect his team, he seems to have quite the fight-or-flight reflex, can snap when he gets annoyed/his limits are pushed, and there are many theories about him.

Now, doesn't that just sound like our dear emo nightmare?

Virgil is, of course, anxious a lot. There are so many theories about him being depressed, having a bad backstory with Deceit, his other side being Remy/Sleep, etc..

Virgil is also the fight-or-flight reflex, and we've seen quite the bit of that in episodes with Shiro.

In the episode with Slav, Shiro gets so annoyed that he snaps, and his eye even twitches, a signal of how done he is with this over-analytic alien.

Both of them are always just aiming to protect their team, and will sacrifice anything for the others.

For Logan and Keith, I know it may not seem like it, but it makes sense I swear

Throughout the seasons, Keith does not seem to have many emotions. Sure, he has emotions, but I feel like he would rather now show them, instead be defensive and closed off with his feelings. He is snappy, and uses mostly logic when decision making. He is smart, as well (not as smart as Pidge, though). His opinions seem to be pushed to the side by most of the team, all except for Shiro, who actually listens.

With Logan, yes, he does have emotions, but he also does not like to show them. Logan has the power to make a statement, but he is usually brushed off (hence the moment in Moving On: 1/1), seeming invalid. Logan is, of course, smart, due do being the side of logic as a whole.

I feel like Virgil is one of the first to actually start listening to Logan, and who understands his struggles of being pushed aside and invalid.

Patton = Pidge was one that got me a bit stuck.

Pidge is smart, and mostly a brick wall. She doesn't seem to like emotions, though we have seen her cry on numerous occasions throughout the seasons. She even considered leaving the team during one season to try and find her brother and father, that being the one thing she was even there to do at that time.

So how does she relate to Patton?

Well, as we've seen, Pidge has many emotions. But she doesn't think she can show them, as she is supposed to be the helpful one in the group.

That is what Patton feels. Up until Moving On, he doesn't show his sadness, grief, or any other emotions other than happiness and support. He feels like he can't show them, because he is supposed to be the moral side of the group. The dad figure.

With Patton, family comes before all. He cares about Thomas and the other sides more than anything, and they come first before anything. Just like Pidge with her brother, father, and mother.

(They both also love dogs, so-)

And, last but not least, Roman and Lance.

That ones just self-explanatory, sweetheart. Think about it.

(*cough* actually Griffin is just tired and doesn't want to list the reasons but you get my drift *cough*)

Also, Joan as Coran and Talyn as Allura, because they are most gorgeous and fabulous non-binary royalty
